Since ANZ entered Taiwan in 1980, it has been part of Taiwan’s economic transformation. As the only Australian bank in Taiwan, ANZ leverages its strong global network, deep market insights, and professional product expertise to help financial institutions and large corporations seize global opportunities.We support our Taiwanese Institutional clients to confidently expand into international markets and navigate complex environments . In the community and environmental sustainability

An important part of ANZ’s Purpose is to help the Communities we are part of thrive. Our employees have been active participants in several community and environmental improvement initiatives sponsored by ANZ.

In 2024, we officially launched the “MoneyMinded” financial literacy program, supported by the Taipei City Council. This program is aimed at improving financial literacy and money management skills among university students from disadvantaged families.

Our staff have also actively participated in volunteering activities that support charitable organizations such as the Andrew Charity Association and the Down Syndrome Foundation. ANZ Taiwan is also a proud sponsor of the annual ANZCham Charity Cycling event which targets at raising funds for disadvantaged groups in Taiwan. 

Our environmental and sustainability volunteering efforts include our staff having participated in annual World Clean Up Days which have involved beach cleaning up, removal of invasive plants and improving the biodiversity environment. 

Furthermore, our office and place of operations in Taipei is located in a low-carbon, green certified building which enables us to promote energy efficiency, waste reduction and efforts are taken to limit use of plastic as well as enable high levels of resource recycling. 

At the same time, ANZ Taiwan plays its role in supporting our clients with their transition into greener and more sustainable business through Sustainable Finance. We are an active financier of renewable energy projects including offshore windfarms in Taiwan and have also supported many of our clients with Sustainability Linked financing products and programs. 

With our collective dedication to helping the communities and environment in Taiwan thrive, in 2025 ANZ Taiwan was the proud recipient of the “Golden Merchant Award for Outstanding Foreign Enterprise” from the National Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of China, recognizing ANZ’s long-standing commitment and contributions to Taiwan’s development.
