Global Finance MAGAZINE names ANZ Institutional THE top trade financier in Australia and New Zealand.
ANZ has reaffirmed its place at the top of the trade finance tree after being named the best in the business in both Australia and New Zealand.
International publication Global Finance Magazine handed ANZ Institutional awards for Best Trade Finance Provider in both of its core operating countries.
It is the tenth consecutive year ANZ has received the award for Australia and the seventh for New Zealand, highlighting a decade of dominance for the group.
ANZ Managing Director Transaction Banking, Mark Evans said the award was a pleasing way to kick off 2019 and he looked forward to more positive developments in the space throughout the year.
“As we continue to invest in our product suite and innovative solutions, this award is a reflection of our collective efforts and commitment to excellence,” he said.

GFM’s awards are based on a suite of criteria including transaction volume, coverage, customer service, pricing and technology, sourcing input from analysts, executives and experts in the industry from all over the world.
The award comes after ANZ’s trade and supply chain offerings were recognised as part of nine awards from The Asset magazine in April 2018. The bank also received a gong from the East & Partners’ Australian Trade Finance Survey in the same month – its eighth consecutive award.
ANZ continues to innovate in the space. In October, ANZ was one of seven banks, including global giants Citi, Deutsche Bank and HSBC to announce a joint initiative over new, digital Trade Information Network.
