ANZ has maintained its ranking as the top Institutional bank in Australia for a fifth-consecutive year in the annual Peter Lee Associates Large Corporate and Institutional Relationship Banking Survey.
Three quarters of the survey’s 500-plus respondents described their relationship with ANZ as strong, further enhancing the bank’s customer-centric reputation.
ANZ also held its number-one position for Net Promoter Score (NPS), which is has earned for three years in a row. NPS tracks the willingness of customers to recommend a bank’s products or services to others.
Additionally, the institutional bank maintained its leadership position in Peter Lee’s Relationship Strength Index, ranking number one in 13 out of 19 factors, including key indicators of relationship strength, overall customer satisfaction with products and services, relationship manager capability.

Graham Turley, MD Institutional at ANZ said the award was recognition for the bank’s work to always improve its customer proposition.
“This recognition shows the importance of continually focusing on our customer relationships despite the significant challenges as a result of the pandemic,” he said.
The Peter Lee Associates Large Corporate and Institutional Relationship Banking Survey is a leading indicator of performance across wholesale banking in Australia.
Some 562 Australia-based large corporates and financial institutions with more than $A500 million in annual turnover were surveyed.
