ANZ has again been named the best in the business in both Australia and New Zealand, extending its long run in its core markets by another year.
Global Finance (GF) recognised ANZ Institutional as best trade finance provider in the two countries at the 2020 BAFT Global Annual Meeting in Frankfurt.
It is the eleventh consecutive year ANZ has received the award for Australia and the eighth for New Zealand.
The bank was also named the world’s best for structured trade finance at the Frankfurt event.
GF’s awards are based on criteria including transaction volume, coverage, customer service, pricing and technology, sourcing input from analysts, executives and experts in the industry from all over the world.
“THESE awardS ARE a reflection of ANZ’s focus and commitment towards customer excellence.”
- MARK EVANS, MD Transaction Banking, ANZ
ANZ Managing Director Transaction Banking, Mark Evans said the awards are a reflection of the bank’s focus and commitment towards customer excellence.
“This recognition comes at a time when we’ve helped our customers navigate geopolitical uncertainties and low-interest rate conditions by providing solutions that help them run their business most effectively,” he said.
Evans noted earlier that existing headwinds are likely to continue in 2020 – but also highlighted opportunities ahead for treasurers with the growth of digitisation and automation in trade.
ANZ was also recognised for its partnership with Carlsberg Group, which won TMI’s 2019 Best Supply Chain Solution – Highly Commended award in December.
