ANZ established its operations in Papua New Guinea (PNG) in 1910 and we have built a strong presence connecting Institutional and Large Corporate customers with trade and capital flows between PNG, Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region.
PNG is an important market for ANZ – we have been here for more than a century and we continue to have a positive outlook for the PNG economy, with great opportunities for growth and investment.
We will continue to support our customers’ domestic requirements while connecting them with 33 markets across Asia Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, America and the Middle East.

- Markets - providing Structuring and Customer Solutions, Corporate and Institutional Sales, Commodities Solutions, Debt Capital Markets, and Syndications.
- Transaction Banking - providing Trade and Supply Chain solutions, Payments and Cash Management.
- Loans and Specialised Finance - providing Corporate Loans and Project Finance, including Structured Export Finance.
ANZ has a particular focus on Resources, Energy, Infrastructure and Agribusiness.

One area of focus for ANZ PNG is on increasing the financial inclusion and capability of Papua New Guineans through the delivery of our flagship financial literacy program ‘MoneyMinded’.
Money Minded was introduced in PNG in 2010 and been delivered to more than 14,000 men and women in our communities, helping them to build financial skills in money management and savings.
In 2015, a second financial literacy program, ‘MoneyMinded Business Basics’, was introduced and targeted at helping micro, small to medium-sized enterprises in PNG develop financial and business skills. This program has been successfully delivered to more than 2000 micro and SMEs in the country.
