KPMG has provided independent limited assurance in respect of our 2016 Corporate Sustainability Review. KPMG has also considered whether the appropriate indicators have been reported on in our GRI Index in accordance with the GRI G4 ‘comprehensive’ level of disclosures.

KPMG has confirmed to ANZ its independence in conducting assurance over ANZ's Corporate Sustainability Review within the KPMG assurance statement.
KPMG was also engaged to conduct independent assurance over ANZ’s global GHG emissions and carbon offset data. Assurance was provided in accordance with International Standard on Assurance Engagements ISAE 3000 Assurance Engagements other than Audits or Reviews of Historical Financial Information, ISAE 3410 Assurance Engagements on Greenhouse Gas Statements and National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Audit) Determination 2009.

Sustainability interim reports
Each year we set public sustainability targets and a corresponding group-wide program of work to support the delivery of our business strategy. Our interim reports provide an update on our half year progress against targets.
More than 5,000 of our stakeholders, including government, regulators, customers, community groups, suppliers, investors and ANZ employees, receive monthly updates providing information about how we are progressing against our Sustainability targets and commitments, as well as information about other initiatives and issues.
