It’s a good idea to carry some foreign money in the currency of the country you're visiting to cover incidental expenses such as taxis, meals and tipping. (But remember; if you lose your foreign cash, it is gone and cannot be replaced. Never carry too much foreign currency on you at any one time.)
Why buy foreign currency cash?
Foreign currency is convenient and can be readily used to purchase goods and services. If you know which countries you are going to visit, and want to plan ahead, you may want to purchase some foreign cash before you go. ANZ offers over 50 different international currencies1, so no matter where you are travelling we should have a currency to suit your needs2.
