What are challenge questions?
  • Challenge questions are a security feature that adds an extra level of protection. These are three questions that you set up with your own personal answers which help us verify your identity.
  • These questions and the answers are designed to be easy for you to remember but difficult for someone else to guess.
When will I be asked these questions?
  • You may be prompted to answer your challenge questions from time to time when we need to verify your identity in Internet Banking. This may be when you are completing certain transactions or logging into ANZ Internet Banking.
What if I forget my answers?
  • If you forget the answers to your challenge questions, we can reset them for you. Please call us to verify your identity on 13 33 50 (International +61 3 9683 8833), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Can I change my challenge questions/answers?
  • Yes, you can change your challenge questions at any time. Just go to "Update Details" within ANZ Internet Banking. To reset your challenge questions you will need to answer your existing challenge questions correctly.
