File a bill with previous bills

To file a bill with previous bills:

  • Go to the "Payments" menu.
  • Select "View online bills" and follow the steps below.
Step 1 - Select the bill to file
  • Select the bill you'd like to file, using the radio buttons under the "Select" column.
Step 2 - Click "File with previous bills"
  • This link is located under your current bills list.

Your bill is now stored on the "Previous bills" page and you can view it at anytime.

Important notes
  • The stored period for bills received via "View online bills" varies between billers.
  • If you are having trouble locating a bill, please contact your biller directly.

What is the benefit of getting online bills?

Our "View online bills" service is the environmentally friendly paperless way to receive bills.

  • Linking a registered BPAY View™ biller to your ANZ Internet Banking replaces your paper bill for that biller.
  • When your bill is ready to be viewed we will notify you via your preferred notification method.
  • You can then view a bill summary, view a detailed PDF bill and pay the bill online.

On the view online bills landing page a list of your current bills will display with the bill description, amount due, due date and status of the bill, including "New" and "Viewed".

Do I need to register for online bills?

Yes. You need to register for online bills before you can start receiving the bills in ANZ Internet Banking for any biller.

What does view bill summary display?

View bill summary displays a summary of your bill including the following:

  • biller name
  • biller code
  • bill account number
  • bill description/your description (if any)
  • bill issue date
  • due date
  • amount due
  • reference number.

As soon as the summary of the bill is viewed, the status of the bill changes from "New" to "Viewed".

How do I file bill summaries?

To file bill summaries select the bill, using the radio buttons under the "Select" column and click "File with previous bills".

  • This will move your selected summary to your previous bills file.
  • This can be filed for up to two years.
Can I file a bill in the "View previous bills" without viewing it?

No. To file a bill in the "View previous bills", the bill must be viewed.

  • If the status on the bill is "New", it cannot be filed.
How are the bills filed and how long can I view them for?

The bills are arranged in descending due date order in the archived bills section and can be viewed for up to two years.

  • The stored period for bills received via "View online bills" may vary between billers.
  • If you are having trouble locating a bill, please contact your biller directly.
How do I view previous bills?

To view previous bills, click on the "View previous bills" link. 

  • This will allow you to view bills that you have already filed in the previous bills file.
What does the status field mean in BPAY View™ biller list page?

The status represents the status of the BPAY View™ for that particular biller.

  • Active: BPAY View™ is currently active and you will be receiving online bills for that biller.
  • Inactive: you have already deactivated the BPAY View™ function for this particular biller. Hence you do not receive online bills any more.
  • Pending: you have registered for BPAY View™ for this biller but the authorisation by the biller is still pending.
  • Deactivating: you have recently requested to cancel your BPAY View™ service for that biller. However, the biller has not yet authorised the deactivation. This may take up to two bank business days.
Can I de-register from online bills?

Yes. You can de-register from online bills any time:

  • go to the BPAY View™ biller list
  • select a biller using the radio button
  • then click "Deactivate Biller"

Once you've deactivated the biller you'll no longer receive online bills through your ANZ Internet Banking for that biller.

Important notes
  • Your access to BPAY View™ is dependent on the biller accepting your registration request.
  • Second and final notices for bills will not be shown differently than normal bills. It is your responsibility to keep track of your payments.
  • If, for any reason, you are unable to access ANZ Internet Banking, it is your responsibility to organise alternative billing methods with your BPAY View™ billers.
