Online statements are the environmentally friendly paperless way to receive account statements.

  • Registering an account for online statements means that you will no longer receive paper statements for that account.
    • Please note, paper statements will continue to be sent for Business accounts.
  • You receive a PDF version of your account statement which can be accessed within ANZ Internet Banking.
  • When your statement is ready to be viewed we will notify you by sending an email to your nominated email address.
  • Online statements are saved in your ANZ Internet Banking for up to seven years.

What are online statements?

Online statements are PDF versions of account statements which can be accessed within ANZ Internet Banking.

  • Registering an account for online statements means that you will no longer receive paper statements for that account.
  • You receive a PDF version of your account statement which can be accessed within ANZ Internet Banking.
  • When your statement is ready to be viewed we will notify you by sending an email to your nominated email address.
  • Online statements are saved in your ANZ Internet Banking for up to seven years from the date of registration assuming you maintain your ANZ Internet Banking access and a valid email address.

The benefits of using online statements are:

  • Secure 24 hours, seven days access to your statements via ANZ Internet Banking. (Temporary service interruption may occur.)
  • Storage for up to seven years from the date of registration.
  • Ability to print your account statements as you need.
  • Email alerts to remind you when a new online statement is issued.
  • Allows you to reduce your use of paper.
Can I register all my accounts for online statements?

No. Online statements are only available for certain account types.

You can register an ANZ account for online statements if:

  • You are the primary cardholder (if it's a consumer credit card).
  • You are a signatory (if it's an ANZ Business One Credit Card).
  • You do not require more than one signatory to authorise transactions on an account.
  • You are the sole primary signatory. You cannot register an account for which you are a third party signatory or beneficiary.
What accounts are not eligible for online statements?

If your account comes under any of the following categories it will not be eligible for online statements.

  • Mortgages
  • Business banking
  • Secondary cardholder for consumer or commercial credit cards
  • Two or more to sign accounts
  • Two or more to sign regulated accounts
  • Accounts held in trust
  • Accounts without a valid mailing address
  • Third party signatories
  • Beneficiaries.
Does it cost anything to register for online statements?

No. It will not cost you anything extra to register for online statements. Once you register for online statements, you will no longer receive paper statements at your mailing address.

Can I get online statements for accounts not linked to my ANZ Internet Banking?

No. Online statements are only available to accounts linked to your ANZ Internet Banking. To link an account to ANZ Internet Banking:

  • Use the link my accounts function on ANZ Internet Banking - this will take 24-48 hours.
  • Contact the ANZ Internet Banking team on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week - this will be immediate.
  • Visit your nearest ANZ branch - this will be immediate.
How often will online statements be provided?

Online statements will be provided to you at the same frequency that your paper statements are issued for the account.

How are online statements different than viewing transactions online?

You can view balances and transactions for your accounts via ANZ Internet Banking without registering for online statements. These transactions are not account statements.

  • Online statements enable you to receive selected ANZ bank account statements online rather than paper statements.
Why are my online statements not appearing?

If you can see your list of online statements but are having problems opening them, check your browser settings. You'll need to have pop-up blockers disabled and JavaScript enabled for the PDF to open correctly in a new window.

How do I view online statements?

Once you have registered for online statements, an email notification will be sent to your nominated email address each time a new online statement is issued.

  • The email will contain the statement date and the name of the account.
  • In some cases it can take up to 24 hours (from when the email notification is sent) for your online statements to appear in your ANZ Internet Banking.
  • You will only have access to online statements that are issued on the registered account after the date of your online statements registration.

To access your online statements, you will need to log on to ANZ Internet Banking and then:

  • Select "View Online Statements" from the "Accounts" menu.

The "Online Statements" page will display a table containing:

  • Statement issue date: the date the statement was issued. Clicking the issue date opens the PDF statement.
  • Account name: the account the statement is for.
  • Account number: the card or account number the statement is for.
  • Status: indicates whether the statement is "new" or if you have previously "viewed" it.

To view an online statement:

  • click on the statement issue date.

The PDF file of the statement will open in a new window and your ANZ Internet Banking session will remain open in the background.

How do I change my email address for online statement notifications?

You must have a valid email address to receive online statements. To check or to change your email address, log on to ANZ Internet Banking and follow the steps below:

  • select the "Update Details" menu
  • go to "My Details" section
  • click "Change my email address"
  • provide your new email address.

ANZ will send all online statement notification emails to the new updated email address.

How are online statements listed on the "Online statements" page?

Online statements are arranged in a chronological order. Whenever a new online statement is issued it is listed at the top. When it has been opened, it will appear in order of date underneath any unread online statements.

How do I de-register from online statements?

You can de-register from online statement on one or all of your registered accounts at any time.

  • Select the "Update Details" menu
  • Go to the "Internet Banking Settings" section
  • Click on the "Deregister from Online Statements" link
  • The "Deregister for Online Statements" page will display a list of all the accounts that are currently registered for online statements
  • Select one or more of the account checkboxes and click on "Deregister accounts".

You will continue to have access to previously received online statements provided you maintain your ANZ Internet Banking access.
