Changes to ANZ fees and charges

We’re making changes to some of our fees and charges. These changes will come into effect from 1 December 2025.

The main reason is to simplify the way our fees work, or to reduce or remove them entirely.

Here's a copy of the detailed fee changes in Tongan.

Changes to Trade and Supply Chain Tariffs

Fees we’re changing

We're making changes to these fees and charges.

Issuance Current fee New fee
Issuing charges 0.50% (min $50.00) a maximum of up to 6 months 0.50% (minimum $50.00)

Please note this fee will be renamed ‘Issue (maximum expiry of 6 months)’.

Amendment Current fee New fee
Extension of expiry date beyond 6 months from date of issuance 0.50% (min $50.00) per six months 0.50% (minimum $50.00)
Increase in amount As for new credit 0.50% (minimum $50.00) on increased amount

Please note ‘Extension of expiry date beyond 6 months from date of issuance’ fee will be updated to ‘Extension of expiry    date beyond 6 months (from date of issuance)’.

Authorisation of any other discrepancies  0.125% (min $85.00) per month

Revolving credits On application

0.50% (minimum $50.00) on application and on any reinstated amount

Please note ‘Authorisation of any other discrepancies’ will be renamed ‘Acceptance of term drawings’

Please note the various existing ‘SWIFT’ fees will be renamed ‘SWIFT fee’ and will be charged once per instrument on initiation.

There is no change to the courier fee but it will be consolidated in the “other fees” section.

    • Negotiated by other bank – Without Recourse to the drawer (where the credit specifically so provides, or the customer so requests and the bank agrees)

    • Acting as paying or reimbursing bank
  • Guarantees/standby letter of credit
    • Inwards - Amendment
    • Inwards - Negotiation
    • Inwards – Confirmation
    • Outwards – Confirmation
