Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Customer Support Line

ANZ has a dedicated customer service line to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers, including those living in remote communities, who may face challenges accessing their banking due to:

  • Remote location
  • Limited access to branches and ATMs
  • Limited internet access
  • Language barriers
  • Access to recognised identification documents to open an account
  • Cultural practices including financial obligations to kin and community

How we can help?

Call us on our dedicated number,  1800 037 366  for support from one of our culturally trained team members who can help with all banking enquires, including:

  • Balance enquiries
  • General banking enquiries
  • Internet banking password resets
  • Internet and Phone Banking enquiries
  • Lost and stolen cards
  • Cancelling direct debits
  • Identification and authentication
  • Account Opening, including eligibility for a fee free account
  • Information on fee free ATM’s in remote locations (which allow cash withdrawals and balance inquiries without incurring an ATM fee)
  • Other remote services

The team can provide access to an interpreter in a range of Indigenous languages.

We understand that some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers may need help to contact us. If this is the case, we recommend you ask:

  • A community organisation
  • A financial counsellor or financial capability worker (call the National Debt Helpline to speak with a financial counsellor on 1800 007 007)
  • An Elder in your community
