Image Guidelines for ANZ Design My Card

These image guidelines may be varied by ANZ at any time.

ANZ will not accept images that contain:

  • celebrities, actors, musicians, sports people, cartoons or public figures
  • works of art
  • phone numbers, addresses, URL addresses, account or PIN numbers
  • provocative or sexual material
  • violent or other offensive, obscene or indecent material
  • nudity or semi-nudity
  • bigotry, racism, hatred, profanity or obscenities
  • alcohol, tobacco, gambling, firearms or pharmaceutical products
  • images that show illegal or anti-social behaviour
  • culturally or socially insensitive images
  • images that display the opinions or beliefs of political groups, religious groups or socially unacceptable groups (e.g. political images, neo-Nazi images, gangs)
  • libelous or defamatory content, or content which is otherwise in violation of any rules, regulations or laws to which the images are subject
  • content not acceptable for persons under 18 years old.

How do I create my ANZ Design My Card?
To create your ANZ Design My Card, simply visit the ANZ Business One Design My Card website, where you can upload your favourite image or choose a plain coloured card from the library.
Can anyone create an ANZ Design My Card?
Yes, whether you are already an ANZ Business One Visa cardholder, or would like to apply for ANZ Business One Visa card, just follow the directions on the ANZ Business One Design My Card website to create your ANZ Design My Card.
What if I’m not an ANZ customer?
You don’t have to be an ANZ customer to apply for an ANZ Business One Visa card. At the ANZ Business One Design My Card website, you can design your card and then apply for ANZ Business One Visa card.
Can my additional cardholder(s) or joint account holder(s) create an ANZ Design My Card?
No, ANZ Design My Card on ANZ Business One Visa only allows one image to be uploaded on the account. All cards issued on the account will have the same Design My Card image. When an additional cardholder is added to an existing account their card will be issued with the Design My Card image loaded on the account.
How long does my image last on my ANZ Design My Card?
Your image lasts for three years for the ANZ Business One Visa card.
How long will it take for my ANZ Design My Card to arrive?
Once your image has been accepted, your ANZ Design My Card should be sent to you within ten business days.
If you are a new ANZ Business One Visa card applicant, this is subject to credit card application approval. Once approved, your ANZ Design My Card should be sent to you within fourteen business days.
What if I apply for an ANZ Business One Visa card but my credit card application is declined – can I still get an ANZ Design My Card?
If your ANZ Business One Visa credit card application is declined and you still want an ANZ Design My Card, you will be able to open an ANZ Access Advantage account, as no credit application is necessary. Just go to the ANZ Design My Card website to design your ANZ Design My Card and then apply for an ANZ Access Advantage account.
How often can I change the image on my ANZ Design My Card?
You can change the image on your ANZ Design My Card as often as you like.
What if my image is rejected?

ANZ will reject an image if it does not meet our Image Guidelines or if it is in breach of a third party’s copyright.

If we send you an email advising that your image has been rejected, simply follow the instructions provided in the email to redesign your card using a new image.

If you do not upload an acceptable image within five business days of your initial application:

  • new ANZ Business One Visa applicants will receive the default ANZ Business One Visa design on their card,
  • other applicants may need to place another order for an ANZ Design My Card.
Will my existing ANZ Business One Visa card number, terms and conditions or PIN change once I request an ANZ Design My Card?
No. Personalising your ANZ Business One Visa card changes the appearance of your card only. Your card number, account number, PIN (if one is loaded) and the ANZ Credit Card Conditions of Use or Product Disclosure Statement content for your product will not change.
Will retailers accept my ANZ Design My Card?
Yes. Your ANZ Design My Card works just like a regular ANZ card. If a retailer doesn’t recognise it, just explain that it’s an ANZ Design My Card.

How do I apply?

I am interested in applying for an ANZ Business One Visa card to get the ANZ Design My Card. What do I need to do?

Design your card and then apply for the ANZ Business One Visa card.

To get started:

  • Go to the ANZ Business One Design My Card website
  • Choose the card you want and click on the Apply Now button (found in the middle of the screen)
  • Read the Terms and Conditions, then click on the Design Your Card and Apply Now button
  • You have a choice of uploading your own image or choosing a plain coloured card from the library
  • After you have finished the image design, you will be asked whether you are a New or Existing customer. Please click on the Apply Now button indicating you are a New customer and complete an online application.
  • You should receive an email within the next two business days confirming whether your image has been approved^. The email will provide additional instructions on how to apply for an ANZ Business One Visa credit card*.
  • You should receive your unique ANZ Design My Card within ten business days of your application being approved.

I am an existing ANZ Business One Visa credit cardholder and am interested in getting an ANZ Design My Card. What do I need to do?

All you need is your 16-digit ANZ Business One Visa credit card number and you are ready to start designing your ANZ Design My Card. This process should not take more than a few minutes.

To get started:

  • Go to the ANZ Business One Design My Card website
  • Choose the card you have and click on the Apply Now button (found in the middle of the screen)
  • Read the Terms and Conditions, then click on the Design Your Card and Apply Now button
  • You have a choice of uploading your own image or choosing a plain coloured card from the library
  • After you have finished the image design, you will be asked whether you are a New or Existing customer. Please click on the Next Step button indicating you are an Existing customer.
  • Fill in the form with the correct detail, in particular your existing 16-digit ANZ Business One Visa credit card number, then submit the form.
  • You should receive an email within the next two business days confirming whether your image has been approved^.
  • You should receive your unique ANZ Design My Card within ten business days of your image being accepted.

Choosing an image for ANZ Design My Card

What kind of image can I use for my ANZ Design My Card?

You can use any image that has been saved in an electronic format (a 'digital image'), as long as the image is large enough to print well onto your card*. This includes:

  • images taken with a digital camera
  • images taken with a mobile phone
  • images scanned or received via email
  • images stored on your computer, disc or CD-ROM

You must own the copyright in the image or have express permission from the copyright owner to use the image on your card.

* Your digital image dimensions should be at least 480 x 480 pixels. Please refer to the following question 'What dimensions should my image be?' for information on how to check the dimensions of your image.

What dimensions should my image be?

Your digital image should be at least 480 x 480 pixels. If your image is smaller than this it may not reproduce well on your ANZ Design My Card. To check the dimensions of your image:

  1. Open your image in a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer).
  2. Right mouse click on your image.
  3. Choose 'Properties'. The Properties window will open.
  4. The 'Dimensions' of your image will be shown under the 'General' tab.

Please refer to your mobile phone or digital camera manual for how to change image dimensions.

What image formats can I use for my ANZ Design My Card?
Your image must be in one of these formats: JPEG (*.jpg, *.jpeg), Bitmap (*.bmp), GIF (*.gif) or TIFF (*.tiff).
What if I have a photo - not a digital image - that I want to use for my ANZ Design My Card?
If you don't have a digital copy of the image you want to use for your ANZ Design My Card, you can scan a photo and save it to your computer or to disk.
Can I use a black and white image for my ANZ Design My Card?
Yes, you can use black and white, single-colour or full-colour images for your ANZ Design My Card.
How big will the image on my ANZ Design My Card be?
The image on your ANZ Design My Card can measure up to a maximum size of 85mm x 55mm.

Editing your ANZ Design My Card image

Can I edit my original image so that it looks better on my ANZ Design My Card?

Yes, you can use the card design tools to scale, rotate, flip and move your image until you have the design you want.

  • The 'scale' bar lets you change the size of your image.
  • The 'rotate' tool lets you turn your image 90-degrees at a time.
  • The 'flip' tool lets you create a mirror image (left to right).
  • The 'move' tool helps you place the image exactly where you want it.
Can I improve the quality of my original image when I edit it?
No, the image on your ANZ Design My Card will be the same quality as your original image. If your original is blurred or grainy, the image will appear the same way on your ANZ Design My Card. For best results, choose a clear, sharply focused image to begin with.
Will editing my image for my ANZ Design My Card change the original image saved on my computer?
No, when you upload your image to the ANZ Business One Design My Card website, you are editing a copy of the original image to place on your ANZ Design My Card. The original image is stored on your computer and will not be modified.
Can I change my image if I'm not happy with it?
You will be provided with an online preview of your image before you order your ANZ Design My Card. If you are not happy with the image when previewed, you can start again with the same image, use a new image of your own or choose one from our image library.

Technical questions about ANZ Design My Card

Do I need special software to design my ANZ Design My Card?
You will need Flash player 6.0 (or above) to be able to edit your image. If you don't already have Flash player, you can download it for free from Adobe.com.
What image formats can I use for my ANZ Design My Card?
Your image must be in one of these formats: JPEG (*.jpg, *.jpeg), Bitmap (*.bmp), GIF (*.gif) or TIFF (*.tiff).
How big can the image file I use for my ANZ Design My Card be?
We recommend that you use an image file that is between 300Kb and 3MB. Images that are smaller than 300Kb may look grainy when you enlarge them. The maximum file size accepted by the ANZ Design My Card website is 8MB.
How long will it take to upload my image?
The time it takes to upload your image will depend on your computer's connection speed.

Privacy and security

What happens to my image once I have uploaded it?
If your image is accepted, we will securely store it so that it can be printed on any replacement ANZ Design My Cards within three years. After that, we will delete your image from our system. We may store a small copy of the image longer than this for audit purposes.
If the image you submit is rejected, your image will be promptly deleted from our system.
How secure is the ANZ Design My Card website?
The ANZ Design My Card website and application form use 128-bit encryption. Please read the ANZ Website Security and Privacy Statement for further information on encryption.
If my image is rejected, what happens to the data in support of my ANZ Design My Card request?
The image and other information you submit will be promptly destroyed. The ANZ Website Security and Privacy Statement also details how ANZ will collect, use and disclose your personal information.
Will I be required to enter my account information on any links found on the emails I receive from ANZ?
ANZ does not send emails containing links requesting you to provide any account information such as passwords, customer relationship numbers or any other personal information (like date of birth, address etc).

Any advice does not take into account your personal needs and financial circumstances and you should consider whether it is appropriate for you.
