Link or delink a business account

Linking your ANZ business accounts to your ANZ Internet Banking is quick and easy. You can choose the level of online access that you require for the linked account. The request is submitted as a SecureMail and you will receive a response within 24-48 hours.

Before linking a business account

ANZ Internet Banking customers

  • You can link/de-link a business account using ANZ Internet Banking if you are the sole signatory on the account.

If the account you wish to link/de-link requires more than one signatory, please call the ANZ Internet Banking team on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week or contact your local ANZ branch.

ANZ Internet Banking for Business customers

You can link/de-link a business account using ANZ IB4B if you are an administrator on the IB4B facility and the account you are linking does not require more than one signatory.

Should you not choose to use IB4B to link/de-link accounts, or are unable to, in order to link/de-link a business account to your ANZ Internet Banking for Business CRN you can:

Step 1 - Enter your account details
  • Enter the BSB and account number for the account your wish to link/delink.
Step 2 - Choose the level of access required

From here you can choose to link or de-link an account.

  • De-link an account: select the "de-link account" radio button.
  • Link an account: select the "link account" radio button.
  • Choose your level of access, using the drop down list. you can choose between:
    • All transactions: this allows you to make any online transactions that the account is eligible for, such as Pay Anyone, Pay BPAY® bills etc.
    • Balance and transaction history enquiries only: this restricts you from transacting online using the account. You can only view transactions and balances for the account.
Step 3 - Add more accounts (if applicable)
  • You can enter up to four business accounts to link/de-link in the form.
  • To add more accounts follow steps 1-2.
Step 4 - Enter your contact details
  • Please provide a preferred and alternate contact phone number in case we need to contact you about your request.
Step 5 - Submit your request
  • Click the "Submit" button to submit your request.
  • You will receive a response via SecureMail within 24-48 hours.
  • If your request is urgent please call the ANZ Internet Banking team on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

How long does it take to link/de-link an account as requested?

The length of time it takes for an account to be linked as per your request varies with the method by which you submit your request.

Linkage will take effect immediately should you:

  • Use the “Link/delink business account” function within ANZ Internet Banking for Business (IB4B)
  • Call the ANZ IB4B helpdesk on 1800 269 242
  • Visit an ANZ Branch

Some things to remember:

  • You can only use these the IB4B update method if you have IB4B administrator access
  • To request via phone or in person you will need to be an authorise person on the account
  • The account must only require a single signatory to use any of the above request methods

Should the account to be linked require more than one signatory or you choose to submit your request via the ANZ Internet Banking for Business maintenance form, it may take up to two bank business days to link/de-link the business account to your ANZ Internet Banking.

  • We will notify you by SecureMail when your request has been processed.
What do I do if I have to urgently access/link an account to ANZ Internet Banking?

What are the two levels of access that an account can be linked with?

When requesting an account to be linked to your ANZ Internet Banking you can choose between the following two levels of access:

  • All transactions: this enables you to make any transactions on the selected accounts such as transferring funds, paying bills, etc, provided the account type allows you to do this.
  • Balance and transaction history enquiries only: you can only view transactions and balances history. You will be unable to make transactions.
Can I make a online payments from my joint account?

ANZ Internet Banking only allows you to make payments from the following type of accounts:

  • the account is solely in your name, or
  • you are one of the signatories on the account and the account requires only one person to sign to authorise monetary transactions,
  • the business account where multiple authorisations/signatures are required to make monetary transaction is linked to your ANZ Internet Banking and all the required signatories have registered for ANZ Internet Banking for Business.
Can I link my personal accounts to my ANZ Internet Banking for Business?

Personal accounts and personal credit cards cannot be linked to your ANZ Internet Banking for Business CRN.

  • However, if you have a personal ANZ Internet Banking CRN, these accounts can be linked to it.
  • Please contact ANZ Internet Banking Helpdesk on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week or contact your local ANZ branch to register for ANZ Internet Banking and to link your personal accounts.
How do I request my business accounts to be linked to my CRN?

As an ANZ Internet Banking for Business (IB4B) customer:

  • You can link/de-link a business account using ANZ IB4B if you are an administrator on the IB4B facility and the account you are linking does not require more than one signatory.

Should you not choose to use IB4B to link/de-link accounts, or are unable to, in order to link/de-link a business account to your ANZ Internet Banking for Business CRN you can:

  • Contact the ANZ IB4B Helpdesk on 1800 269 242
  • Visit an ANZ Branch
  • You must download, print and complete the maintenance form and either post or fax it to the ANZ Internet Banking for Business team.

Before filling in the maintenance form please ensure that the business associated with your account has been registered for ANZ Internet Banking for Business. If the business is not yet registered for ANZ Internet Banking for Business, you must firstly register for ANZ Internet Banking for Business to access the accounts online.

Can I link an account that's held in a different name to my ANZ Internet Banking?

This online form can only be used to link accounts held in the same name as the CRN used for ANZ Internet Banking and ANZ Phone Banking.

  • If you wish to link an account in a different name please visit your local ANZ branch.
