Make or change future payments

You can easily manage any payments (including bill payments) and transfers that you've scheduled for a future date in ANZ Internet Banking and the ANZ App. That’s handy!

What you need to know about future payments/transfers

Have the funds ready

Future-dated payments or transfers require cleared funds in your account at 11.59pm (AEST/AEDT) on the day before the scheduled date. If funds are not available, your payment or transfer will be unsuccessful.

You set the date

A future-dated payment or transfer will be processed on the morning of the date you requested and sent via the fastest method available. If the scheduled date falls on a weekend or public holiday (excl. Osko payments), it will be processed on the next bank business day.

Changes up to the day before payment

If you wish to change, delete or skip a payment or transfer, the request must be lodged with ANZ Internet Banking or in the ANZ App prior to 11.59pm (AEST/AEDT) on the day prior to the payment’s scheduled date.

What is Osko?

Osko is a payment method used by ANZ and other participating financial institutions to send payments faster, smarter and simpler at any time, on any day of the year between eligible accounts (PDF 109kB)disclaimer.

To use Osko, you don't need to do anything differently, just send the payment via Internet Banking or the ANZ App and ANZ will route the payment the fastest way possible. If both the sending and receiving accounts are Osko enabled, the payment should be made fast - even between different banks.
