Templates help you to easily create your multiple transfers. Once you have a template saved you can select it to populate your payments without the need to add the details for each payment individually.

If you create a copy of an existing template you can edit it and save it as a new template.

How do I copy a payroll payment template?

ANZ Internet Banking for Business customers can copy an existing payroll template to create a new one.

  • Go to the "Payments" menu.
  • Select "Pay employees".
  • Select "Manage Pay Employees templates".
  • Click the “Select” button next to the template you'd like to copy.
  • Then select "Copy" and follow the steps below.

Alternatively you can:

  • Go to the "Payments" menu.
  • Select "Manage payment templates".
  • Click the ”Select” button next to the template you’d like to copy.
  • Then select "Copy" and follow the steps below.

Step 1 - Enter a new template name

Copying a template gives you a starting point for creating a new template.

  • Enter a template name associated with the type of payroll payments being made.
  • Choose one that you will easily identify for future use.

Step 2 - Edit the template if necessary

You can make the following edits to your payroll templates:

  • Add more payments: follow steps 4-6 of the Make payroll payments page.
  • Remove payments: click the "Remove" button to the right of the payment.
  • Change the amount: click the amount field and type a new amount in dollars and cents with a decimal point.

Step 3 - Save your new template

  • When you are happy with your new template, click the "Save" button.

Your template will now be updated and saved in your list of payroll templates.

You can copy an existing template whenever you need a new template with some payment details from an existing template. 

  • Copying a template gives you a starting point for creating a new template.
  • You can then enter a new name for this template
  • Add new employee details and remove the unwanted details from the template.

You need the following information to add a Payroll payment template:

  • Template name: this is only available when creating a new template or copying an existing template.
  • Your/business name: provide the name that you would like to appear on the employee's statement.
  • Employee details: allows you to select an employee from the drop down list available for payroll payment employee list or click "Or maintain employees" in order to add new employees to the list.
  • Transfer amount: includes the "Reference" that you would like to appear on the employee's statement as well as the "Amount" that will be transferred to the employee's account.

Copying a template is immediate.

  • Once you've re-saved the template it will be updated in the "Payroll payment - templates" list and can be used for payments at once.

You can add up to 99 payments/transfers in a single payment template.
