Payment templates are a convenient way to help you make multiple payments. Once you have a template saved you can select it to populate your payments without needing to add the details for each payment individually.

You can easily add a template to make multiple transfers between your accounts, multiple Pay Anyone payments, multiple BPAY® bill payments and payroll payments.

How do I add a payment template?

ANZ Internet Banking for Business customers can easily add a template to make multiple transfers between your accounts, multiple Pay Anyone payments, multiple BPAY® bill payments and payroll payments.

Once you have a template saved you can select it to populate your payments without needing to add the details for each payment individually.

Step 1 - Navigate to "Add template"

  • Select the "Payments" menu
  • Select "Manage payment templates"
  • Select "Add new template".

Step 2 - Select the type of template you'd like to add

Select a Funds Transfer, Pay Anyone, BPAY bills or Pay Employees payment template and “Continue

Step 3 - Add the template

You need the following information to add a "Pay BPAY® bills" payment template:

  • Common template details: this is only available when creating a new template or copying an existing template.
  • BPAY® biller details: select a biller from the BPAY® biller list or select "Manage billers" to add new BPAY® biller details to the list. You need a biller code, a reference number and a description to save a biller.
  • Transfer amount: allows you to enter the amount that will be paid to the biller.

You need the following information to add a new multiple transfer template:

  • Common template details: use a name associated with the type of payments.
  • Account details: to make payments you'll need to know the receiving account and the transfer amount.

On the date of payment, you will need to select the business account to be debited. This feature is only available for ANZ Internet Banking for Business customers. 

You need the following information to add a multiple Pay Anyone template:

  • Common template details: this is only required when creating a new template or copying an existing template. In your "Your / business name" provide the name that you would like to appear on the payee's statement.
  • Payee details: allows you to select a payee from the Pay Anyone payee list or add a new payee to the list by selecting the "Maintain payees".
  • Transfer amount: includes the "Reference" that you would like to appear on the payee's statement as well as the "Amount" that will be transferred to the payee's account.

You need the following information to add a payroll payment template:

  • Template name: this is only available when creating a new template or copying an existing template.
  • Your/business name: provide the name that you would like to appear on the employee's statement.
  • Employee details: allows you to select an employee from the drop down list available for payroll payment employee list or "Maintain Employees" in order to add a new employee to the list.
  • Transfer amount: includes the "Reference" that you would like to appear on the employee's statement as well as the "Amount" that will be transferred to the employee's account.

Once saved, the page will refresh and the template will be updated immediately in the "Payment Templates" list and can be used for payment at once.

Yes. You can edit, copy, rename or delete the templates. You can edit the following in an existing template:

  • Your/business name as it would appear in the payee's/employee's statement.
  • The amount for a particular payment in the template.
  • The reference number for the biller, if applicable.
  • You can also change the payment details in the template by removing the existing details from the template or adding a new detail from the saved list.
  • This payment template changes will be updated immediately.

You can add up to 99 payments in a single template.
