Templates help you to easily create your multiple Pay Anyone payments. Once you have a template saved you can select it to populate your payments without the need to add the details for each payment individually.

If you no longer need your template you can easily delete it. Please note that once a template is deleted it can not be retrieved.

How do I delete a multiple Pay Anyone template?

ANZ Internet Banking for Business customers can easily delete an existing multiple Pay Anyone template.

  • Go to the "Payments" menu
  • Select "Pay Anyone"
  • Click on "Manage templates"
  • Click on the "Select" button next to the template you’d like to delete
  • Then click "Delete" and select "Delete template" on the confirmation message

Alternatively you can:

  • Go to the "Payments" menu
  • Select "Manage payment templates"
  • Click on the "Select" button next to the template you’d like to delete
  • Then click "Delete" and select "Delete template" on the confirmation message

This will delete the template from your list so you will no longer be able to use it to make multiple Pay Anyone payments.

Why can't I delete my template?

You cannot delete a multiple Pay Anyone template if it has been used for a scheduled future transfer.

You must first cancel any pending future Pay Anyone payments connected with the template.

If you wish to delete a future dated transfer, the request must be lodged with ANZ Internet Banking prior to 12.00am (midnight AEST) on the day prior to the payment date.

Please note that you cannot edit a recurring or future dated transfer. You must delete and then re-submit a new payment.

Delete a future payment

No. Once a template is deleted, the information in that template cannot be retrieved again.

You will need to re-enter the details if you want to re-create that template.

Once deleted, the details will be updated immediately in the "Multiple Pay Anyone - Payment Templates" list and the template will be removed immediately.

You need the following information to add a multiple Pay Anyone template:

  • Template name: this is only required when creating a new template or copying an existing template.
  • Your/business name: provide the name that you would like to appear on the payee's statement.
  • Payee details: allows you to select a payee from the Pay Anyone payee list or add a new payee to the list by clicking the "Maintain payee list" link.
  • Transfer amount: includes the "Reference" that you would like to appear on the payee's statement as well as the "Amount" that will be transferred to the payee's account.

Once a template is deleted the page will refresh and the template will be immediately removed.

You will no longer be able to use the template to make payments.

Yes. You can edit, copy, rename or delete multiple Pay Anyone templates. You can change the following:

  • The amount to be transferred.
  • Your/business name (this will appear on the payee's statement).
  • The payee details. You can remove an existing payee or add a new one.

Changes will be immediate.

You can add up to 99 payees in a single template.
