My Password isn't working
- Passwords are case sensitive. Please check your Caps Lock key.
- Passwords are between 8 and 16 characters with no spaces.
- Internet Banking passwords are a combination of letters and numbers and can be a combination of upper and lower case letters (e.g. PaSSwo1R2d).
- You may have recently changed your Internet Banking password.
What is my User ID?
- Your initial User ID is the 8 digit number provided to you at the time of registration which enables ANZ to identify you when you access ANZ Internet Banking.

Security Device Code overview
The Security Device Code page allows you to enter the Security Device Code that is displayed on the screen of your ANZ Security Device. This Security Device Code must be used together with your password and User ID to complete your log on.
The Security Device generates random numbers every 60 seconds; therefore any Security Device Code generated will stay on the Security Device screen for 60 seconds before a new code appears. Only the code that currently appears on the screen is valid.
The countdown bar to the left of the code lets you know how many seconds remain until a new code is generated. Each bar represents a ten second block.
Expired or incorrect Security Device Codes
You’ll be asked to enter a new Security Device Code to log on if
- you make a mistake entering the code
- the code changes between the time you enter it and the time you select Log on, or
- you try to re-use an old code.
If you incorrectly enter your Security Device Code three times your User ID will be locked and you will be required to contact ANZ Internet Banking Support Centre to reset your User ID.
Entering the next code
If the Security Device Code entered has expired by only a few seconds, you may be asked to enter the next Security Device Code that appears on your ANZ Security Device. Please wait until the code currently displayed expires, and then enter the new random code. You may be asked to do this procedure more than once before successfully logging onto ANZ Internet Banking.
This occurs to ensure the internal clock of your Security Device is correctly aligned to ANZ’s security systems.
If you are still having difficulties, please call the ANZ Internet Banking Support Centre.
