Important message for ANZ customers

A number of ANZ customers have recently been targeted with a hoax email.

The email advises customers to verify their account details by clicking the link provided. When the link in the email is clicked, the ANZ Internet Banking log on page appears and a Trojan (key logger) is downloaded to the computer.

ANZ does not send emails requesting personal or account information.

If you have received the email:

  • Delete the email immediately and do not click on the link.

If you have clicked on the link in the email:

  • You may have been infected with a virus.

  • Using your virus protection software, scan for possible viruses and Trojans. Should you require further information, please contact your software vendor.

  • After you have completed a scan on your computer, please contact the ANZ Internet Banking Help Desk on 13 33 50 (International +61 3 9683 8833) to have your Internet Banking Password re-set.

If you do not have anti-virus protection, ANZ recommends that you do not use ANZ Internet Banking until you have up-to-date anti-virus protection.
