Changes to ANZ fees and charges

We’re making changes to some of our fees and charges. These changes will come into effect from 15 April 2024.

The main reason behind those changes is to simplify the way our fees work, or to reduce or remove them entirely.

We have summarised the changes in detail below.

The change to monthly charging also means that we have changed the wording to replace quarterly with monthly.  Renamed 'Monthly account fee'.

Note: This will be charged monthly starting end of April 2024.

Early withdrawal fee for ANZ Term Deposit or ANZ Foreign Currency Interest Term Deposit

VT5,000 (or the equivalent in the currency of the ANZ Account) plus Cost to Borrow Fee.

Cost to borrow fee = (Early withdrawal amount x (lending rate - TD interest rate) x number of days to maturity) / 365 days 

 50% off the applicable interest rate at the time of investment. Minimum VT5,000 (not applicable to ANZ Foreign Currency Interest Term Deposit).

 

Please note renamed 'Term Deposit early withdrawal fee'.

We are simplifying how we calculate the Loan Approval Fee for unsecured personal loans by removing the rate tiers and implementing a flat fee for each approval.

  • Fast Deposit Box
  • Foreign Currency Call Account dormant account fee – all currencies
  • Foreign Currency Call Account minimum balance fee – all currencies 
  • Foreign Currency Cash – all fees as service no longer offered 
  • International Access Card – Overseas bank ATM transaction fees 
  • International Access Card – Currency Conversion Assessment fee
  • International Access Card – Issuer Cross-border Assessment fee
  • International Access Card – Overseas bank card transaction fee
