ANZ has had a longstanding presence in the UK. The Bank originated here in 1835 when the Bank of
Australia was established by Royal Charter. ANZ in London now operates as a division of the Australia
and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.
ANZ is authorised and regulated in the UK by The Financial Services Authority (FSA). However,
lending secured by mortgage over property outside the UK is not regulated by the FSA.
