1. What are your responsibilities regarding your password

Password security

The security of your password is very important. If you fail to observe the following security requirements you may increase the account holder’s liability for any unauthorised use of ANZ eBiz.

You should call the ANZ Call Centre number and select the menu option to speak with a Customer Service Consultant, who will generate a new password. You will be required to change this ANZ issued password and select a unique 8 character password consisting of both alphas and numbers as your new password.

Cancellation of your password

ANZ may cancel your password at any time without notice to you if ANZ believes that the password is being misused or has been used to perform an unauthorised transaction.

2. Security of ANZ eBiz

ANZ's endeavours

ANZ will use such measures as it considers reasonable to help ensure the security of ANZ eBiz. In respect of ANZ eBiz, ANZ employs a range of security measures, including firewalls and data encryption (128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol helps provide a secure channel for your internet transactions).

ANZ cannot guarantee that any data transmission over the Internet is totally secure.

By applying for ANZ eBiz, you consent to the use by ANZ for the purpose of providing ANZ eBiz services of all data (which may include personal information) held by ANZ and its related entities responsible for providing access to ANZ eBiz across the internet, and you acknowledge that the data may be encrypted, transmitted and stored by, or at the request of ANZ outside of the Jurisdiction, and that, except as otherwise provided by the law of the Jurisdiction, ANZ shall have no liability in respect of such data.

Your responsibility for your PC

You are solely responsible for your own PC anti-virus measures, and those of an authorised agent, to help prevent unauthorised access via ANZ eBiz to your transactions and account(s). You are responsible, at your own cost, for ensuring that all necessary connections, such as PC equipment and software, a secure telephone line, electricity and a secure internet service provider, are available to enable you to access ANZ eBiz.

Access by others

You acknowledge that any person who supplies ANZ with your CRN and your password will be allowed to access ANZ eBiz and each account and to perform transactions.

ANZ eBiz, the internet and money laundering prevention

In accepting these terms and conditions, you will also be taken to have accepted the release by ANZ or its related entities of any information it or they possess (or have access to) concerning an ANZ eBiz transaction effected by ANZ where an inquiry has been made to ANZ or any of its related entities into the legality or good faith of the transaction, by a Regulator or Government Agency in another jurisdiction. For the purposes of this clause, the terms ‘Regulator’ and ‘Government Agency’ mean a body in that other jurisdiction authorised by the law of that jurisdiction to make such an inquiry.

You acknowledge that ANZ is subject to anti Money Laundering laws in force in the Jurisdiction and certain other countries, which may prohibit ANZ from entering or concluding transactions involving certain persons or entities or jurisdictions. You agree that ANZ may (and will incur no liability to you if it does) delay or block any transaction, or refuse to pay any money in the reasonable belief that a transaction may contravene any such law or otherwise in compliance with any such law.

You agree to provide all information to ANZ (or its relevant related entity), that is reasonably required to comply with anti Money Laundering laws in the Jurisdiction or any other country.

Unless you have disclosed that you are acting in a trustee capacity or on behalf of another party, you warrant that you are acting in your own capacity in entering into this agreement.

You declare and undertake to ANZ that the payment of monies via ANZ eBiz to a payment beneficiary in accordance with your instructions by ANZ will not breach any anti Money Laundering laws in the Jurisdiction or any other country.
