Arthur Hubbard
General Manager of ANZ Tonga

With 21 years experience at ANZ, Arthur was appointed General Manager of ANZ Tonga on April 2008.

A qualified accountant, Arthur believes his role as General Manager is one of the best roles around. He enjoys his responsibility to deliver quality and consistent service to all our customers, stating “Tonga is a beautiful place, especially the people, who are friendly, proud, and passionate; we have all the ingredients to run a great bank, and all I have to do is make it work.”

Arthur has found that apart from the unique experience of living and working with different cultures, the best aspects of working offshore are the friendship and the knowledge he has gained about the people and places.

Rob Yeoman
Head of Relationship Banking, ANZ Tonga

Rob joined ANZ in 2003 following the acquisition in New Zealand of National Bank of New Zealand where he was employed since 1994. With 21 years of banking experience behind him, Rob took the Head of Relationship Banking role for ANZ Tonga in December 2007.

In his role as Head of Relationship Banking, Rob has enjoyed the challenges of being part of a changing environment, with the planned reconstruction of Nuku’alofa branch. He’s also enjoyed the opportunities to have input on the business’ direction and strategy, and gain broader view of the ANZ organisation.

According to Rob, the best thing about being in Tonga is “being able to experience a whole new culture and assist with the development of my staff.” He also enjoys the Tongan social life, including golf, being involved with secondary school rugby coaching, the beaches, and nice fine winter days.
