Foreign Currency Interest Bearing Term Deposits

Available in all major currencies, our Foreign Currency Term Deposits are ideal for clients who wish to earn a higher rate than usually available on other savings account and still maintain a high degree of liquidity, whether for investment purposes or to meet future payments.

Other major features include:

Safe, convenient form of short to long-term investment with a fixed and guaranteed interest rate for the term of the deposit.
A minimum balance depending on currency is required to open the account and no interest is paid on the balance below this amount.
On maturity, funds are automatically re-invested for a similar period unless you instruct us otherwise, at least 2 business days prior to maturity.
No account keeping fees are applicable but breaking fees will be charged in the event the Bank agrees to early repayment of the deposit. For further information on fees and charges, refer to our Fee Schedule.

Interest:

Interest rates are relative to those applicable in the country of the currency and range from overnight to periods of 180 days, with longer periods available on request in some currencies.
Interest is calculated for the term of the deposit and paid on maturity.
Interest rates are fixed for the term of the deposit and are subject to change in line with prevailing market rates at re-investment.
