Apply for a Tax File Number

Anyone who receives income in Australia requires an Australian Tax File Number (TFN). Telephone the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on
13 28 61 to have an application form sent to you, or apply online by visiting the Australian Taxation Office. You should consider advising ANZ of your TFN, as without it, ANZ may be required to deduct tax at the highest personal tax rate, plus the Medicare levy, on interest paid on any ANZ account.
