Where do I find out more information about the privileges of being a Black cardholder?

As an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black cardholder, you can enjoy exclusive benefits and offers with entré™ for ANZ Frequent Flyer Black American Express® and Visa Black Privileges for ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Black.

Are there limits on the number of points I can earn each month?

There are no limits on the number of points you can earn each month. With your ANZ Frequent Black American Express card, new applicants could earn 1.5 points1 per $1 spent on purchases. When using your ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Black you could earn 0.75 points1 per $1 spent on purchases.

How does the Overseas Travel and Medical Insurance5 differ on the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black from the ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum?

There is currently no difference between the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black and the ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum Overseas Travel and Medical Insurance.5

Simply purchase $250 worth of pre-booked travel using your ANZ Frequent Flyer credit card and meet the full eligibility criteria5 and you could save up to $8006 on overseas travel and medical insurance.

What is the Total Annual Fee?

The Total Annual Fee is $425 for new applicants. This is inclusive of the $55 Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards Program Services Fee. For additional card holders, an Additional Cardholder Fee of $10 applies per additional cardholder on the account.9

Under the ANZ Private Membership Package, there are no annual fees or additional cardholder fees for up to 5 credit cards.

Existing customers may be subject to different fees and should contact 13 22 73 or their Private Wealth Managers for information regarding the fees that apply to their account.

Do I have to pay Overseas Cash Advance Fees?

The ANZ Overseas Cash Advance Fee is waived for ANZ Frequent Flyer Black account holders. Cash advances can only be performed with your ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Black card. The Overseas Transaction Fee and ATM Operator Fees still apply. To avoid ATM Operator Fees, please use ANZ ATM's wherever possible.

When will I receive my new ANZ Frequent Flyer Black cards after I accept the offer?

It is expected that you will receive your new cards within 21 business days, after we have received your acceptance.

What additional services am I entitled to with ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card?

How do I increase/decrease my credit limit?

To decrease or apply to increase your credit limit, all you need to do is contact your ANZ Private Manager and they will be able to assist you. Increases in credit limits are subject to credit assessment criteria. Please remember, to be eligible for the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black, you need to have a minimum $15,000 credit limit.

Who do I call if I have an issue with my card?

Your ANZ Private Manager will be able to assist you with any queries you may have with your ANZ Black card. If you have an issue outside of business hours please call your dedicated ANZ Private Bank 24 hour assistance line on 1800 739 747 in Australia or +61 3 9683 7043 if overseas.

If I have a dispute with a transaction what do I need to do?

Speak to your ANZ Private Manager, who will complete and submit the documentation to have your dispute investigated.

Can I get a second card for my partner?

If you would like a secondary card attached to your card, all you need to do is speak to your ANZ Private Manager. Any points that your additional cardholder earns will go directly into your linked Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Are there any added security features?

The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black American Express® card comes with a holographic magnetic stripe on the back of your card for added security that protects your card against counterfeiting. The ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Black card comes with security chip technology, making it more difficult to fraudulently copy your credit card details.

Will my current card stop automatically?

Once you accept the offer to upgrade to ANZ Frequent Flyer Black, your new card will take approximately 21 days to reach you. Your old card will be closed once you either activate your card, once you complete the first transaction or 14 days from the date of your Welcome Letter.

What do I need to do if I don’t want my current card stopped?

You will need to speak to your ANZ Private Manager who will be able to assist you.

Transitioning to your ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card

Have you changed my account details?

You will have a new card and account number. You will need to make changes to any recurring transactions that were being charged on your old card.

Will my existing card close?

Yes, your old card will be closed once you either activate your new card, with the first transaction or 14 days from the date of your Welcome Letter. If you would like to keep your existing card open, please speak to your ANZ Private Manager before you accept the upgrade offer.

Will my automatic recurring transactions need to be set up again?

Yes, you will need to contact all relevant merchant and service providers who are authorised to automatically charge your credit card (e.g. Income Protection Insurance) and advise them of your new card number immediately upon receipt of your new card. You would have organised these transactions directly with the merchant or service provider.

You can identify your recurring transactions by reviewing your statements that are mailed each month. Remember to consider monthly, quarterly and annual recurring transactions.

Will I need to set up payments on ANZ Internet Banking again?

Yes, any automatic or future dated payments set-up within ANZ Internet Banking (such as bill payments) will need to be transferred to your new card. These are typically payments to a third party that you authorise via ANZ Internet Banking.

You will need to access ANZ Internet Banking, delete the existing payment authorities and re-establish them with your new card number. You should take note of the details of your previous automatic payments before you delete them; it will make it easier when you re-establish them with your new card number.

You will still be able to see future payments set-up on your old card. Please note that this payment will not work, and must be re-set.

Can I access my other ANZ accounts that are linked to my existing credit card?

If you have other ANZ accounts linked to your existing card, the linkages will not be automatically transferred to your new account. You will need to update all details. This can be easily done by speaking to your ANZ Private Manager.

Will I need to reset my ANZ Phone and Internet Banking passwords and PIN?

No, if you currently hold an ANZ Frequent Flyer credit card (e.g. ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum) and upgrading to the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card, a card new PIN (Personal Identification Number) is not required.

However, if you are new to the ANZ Frequent Flyer credit card range or currently hold an ANZ Frequent Flyer VISA card and are applying for an ANZ Frequent flyer American Express card, a new card PIN will be sent to you.

If your ANZ Internet Banking Customer Registration Number (CRN) is the same as your existing (old) credit card number, it will need to be updated. In the meantime you can access ANZ Internet Banking using your existing CRN.

If your CRN is a number other than your existing credit card number, it will remain unchanged.

Will my CardPay Direct payments need to be set up again?

No, you won't need set up your payments again. Your CardPay Direct payments will be automatically transferred to the new card.

Will my transaction history be available if I upgrade to ANZ Frequent Flyer Black?

Your transaction history will be available if product transfer is completed via Internet Banking.

What will the Overseas travel and medical insurance5 protect me against?

  • Additional cardholders are covered regardless of whether they are travelling with the primary cardholder.

Purchases exclude fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions balance transfers and premiums paid for ANZ Credit Card Insurance. An Account Holder must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. Points information displayed on this page applies to new customers only. Existing customers may be subject to a different Points earn rate on both their ANZ Frequent Flyer American Express card and/or ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa card. 2. Offer only available to ANZ Frequent Flyer Black account holders. Account holders may request no more than two Qantas Club Lounge invitations in any 12 month period by calling the ANZ Personal Concierge on 1300 580 765. Qantas Club Lounge invitations will be sent to the account holder’s current mailing address within 4 weeks of request, provided the account holder is not in breach of the ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use (PDF 468kB) and the account remains open. It is the account holder’s responsibility to ensure that ANZ has their current mailing address.  Neither ANZ nor Qantas accept responsibility for any delay in delivery of invitations or lost or stolen invitations and lost or stolen invitations will not be replaced. Damaged invitations may not be accepted. Qantas Club Lounge invitations are provided courtesy of ANZ and are valid for Qantas Club and Qantas operated international Business Lounges only. Not valid in International First Class Lounges, Chairman's Lounge, Qantas Domestic Business Class lounges, Qantas Oneworld® alliance airline, partner airline or associated lounges. Invitations must not be sold in any way. Invitations are valid for 12 months from date of request and will expire on the date printed on the invitations. Each Invitation is valid for a single visit for one person only before the expiry date when travelling on a Qantas or Jetstar flight with a QF or JQ flight number. Access may not be available if the applicable lounge is full or near capacity. Access and use of Qantas Club lounges is subject to Qantas Club rules which are available at qantas.com/qantasclub and the Qantas Club Lounge invitation conditions available at qantas.com/qantasclub.

3. Offers are only available to ANZ Frequent Flyer Black cardholders who are Australian residents and who purchase Qantas Club membership using their ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card. Offers are non-transferable and are not available in conjunction with any other offers or discounts. No discounts are available in respect of fees already paid. $455 saving in the first year is based upon a joining fee waiver and a discount to the standard one-year individual membership rate. The joining fee waiver is for a new one year individual Qantas Club memberships purchased using an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card by contacting the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre on 13 11 31. Quoted joining fee savings are based on the joining fee for an individual Qantas Club membership application by an Australian resident. Different rates may be available for those with access to the Qantas Club Corporate scheme. The membership fee offer is for a one year individual Qantas Club membership which is purchased or renewed using an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card by contacting the Qantas Service Centre. Quoted membership fee savings are based on the difference between the published corporate membership rate and the fee applicable to an individual Qantas Club membership held by an Australian resident. Only one joining fee waiver, and one membership fee discount per year, are available per cardholder. Qantas Club membership is subject to approval by Qantas and to the terms and conditions of The Qantas Club, available at qantas.com/qantasclub.

4. Complimentary access to participating airport lounges is available to eligible ANZ Frequent Flyer Black cardholders. Participating airport lounges are subject to change. To gain complimentary access, eligible cardholders must present their credit card and a current flight boarding pass in the same name at the participating lounge. 5. The Overseas travel and medical insurance master policy, the Transport accident cover master policy and Rental excess cover master policy (the Master Policies) are issued by QBE Insurance Australia Limited ABN 78 003 191 035 AFSL 239545 to ANZ. Cover under the Master Policies is provided to eligible participating cardholders by operation of section 48 of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth). The eligibility criteria which you must meet for each of the Master Policies is set out in Premium Cards - Insurances booklet (PDF 376kB) Part 1 QBE Product Disclosure Statement and policy wordings. When overseas, we recommend that you carry proof of that you have met the eligibility criteria. Any advice has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. You must decide whether or not it is appropriate, in light of your own circumstances, to act on this advice. You should ensure you obtain and consider the PDS before you make any decision to acquire it.

6. This estimate is based on a couple/family purchasing a standard international annual multi - trip policy underwritten by QBE without any customisation for pre-existing conditions or without taking into account any special conditions or requests as of 10 March 2014.
