Green Loans are a new Australian Government initiative to help Australians tackle climate change. The Green Loans Program is providing free home sustainability assessment which will recommend tailored energy and water saving options. These may range from simple actions like switching to energy efficient lights and replacing shower heads to larger scale changes like installing rainwater tanks, solar panels and grey water filtration. The assessment is the first step in applying for an interest free green loan.

With an ANZ Green Loan, the Australian Government will subsidise the interest for the 4 year loan term, giving you the ability to make your home greener with the benefit of not paying any interest during the loan period. You also will not incur any Loan Application or regular monthly or quarterly account fees with an ANZ Green Loan.

You can register for a Green Loan in three simple steps:

Step 1: Simply have your home undergo a free Home Sustainability Assessment. Visit www.environment.gov.au/greenloans or call 1800 895 076 Mon – Fri 9am - 5pm EST for more information on organising your free assessment.

Step 2: Receive your free tailored Home Sustainability Report.

Step 3: Once you have your Home Sustainability Report, you can apply* for your ANZ Green Loan by calling 1800 180 871 Mon – Fri 8am – 8pm and Sat 9am – 4pm EST.
