Your questions answered

The facility itself is available without registration, but unless you register a biller you will not receive any bills online.

  • When you add a BPAY View™ biller you are effectively registering to receive bills online from that biller
  • The biller may take up to two days to process your request
  • If successful your next bill will be received through your ANZ Internet Banking.

If are having problems opening a detailed bill, check your browser settings. You'll need to have pop-up blockers disabled and JavaScript enabled for the PDF to open correctly in a new window.

You can choose between two notification methods for new bills:

  • ANZ Internet Banking: this involves a message at the top of your "View online bills" page advising you of new bills.
  • Email: you will receive an email informing you that you need to log on to ANZ Internet Banking and retrieve a new bill.

The biller you have chosen may be governed by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP). If so email notification of bills is mandatory.

Adding a biller to your BPAY View™ biller list means that you can receive bills from that biller through your ANZ Internet Banking.

You can also edit their details or delete the biller from your list at any time.

To add a biller to BPAY View™ list you will need the correct biller code or biller name, reference number, a valid email address (if you select email as your notification method), BPAY View™ registration details for your bill and your details as requested by the biller.

Some billers may ask you for answers to authentication questions to help them verify your identity. They may ask for information that they know about you.

ANZ Internet Banking will pass your answers to the biller but will not store the information.

You can only edit details of billers that have been approved.

  • If you have recently added a biller and your approval is pending you will not be able to edit the biller until it is approved.

The status represents the status of the BPAY View™ for that particular biller.

  • Active: BPAY View™ is currently active and you will be receiving online bills.
  • Inactive: you have already deactivated the BPAY View™ function for this particular biller. Hence you do not receive online bills any more.
  • Pending: you have registered for BPAY View™ for this biller but the authorisation by the biller is still pending.
  • Deactivating: you have recently requested to cancel your BPAY View™ service for that biller. However, the biller has not yet authorised the deactivation. This may take up to two bank business days.

It is your responsibility to check your email or log on to ANZ Internet Banking to receive notification of new bills; and to ensure your email address is accurate and current or you may not receive notification of new bills.

Your access to BPAY View™ is dependent on the biller accepting your registration.

Second and final notices for bills will not be shown differently than normal bills. It is your responsibility to keep track of your payments.

If, for any reason, you are unable to access ANZ Internet Banking, it is your responsibility to organise alternative billing methods with your billers.

Any authentication questions asked by BPAY View™ billers are requested and used only by the biller in processing your registration.

BPAY® is registered to BPAY Pty Ltd ABN 69 079 137 518.
