Edit a BPAY View biller

Editing a BPAY View™ biller is easy.

  • Go to the "Pay and transfer" menu.
  • Select "View online bills" - this will display a list of your current bills.
  • Click on the "BPAY View™ biller list" link and follow the steps below.
Step 1 - Click the "Edit biller" link

Select the relevant BPAY View™ biller, using the radio buttons under the "Select" column.

  • Click on the "Edit biller" link.
  • This link is located on the left hand side under your list of billers.
Step 2 - Make your changes
  • You can change the notification method or the bill description.
  • When you are happy with your changes click "Update biller".
Step 3 - Confirm your changes
  • A pop up message will display.
  • Click "Ok"to save your changes.

Important notes
  • You can only edit details of billers that have been approved. If you have recently added a biller and the approval is pending you will be unable to edit the biller.

What details can be changed under the "Edit biller" page in ANZ Internet Banking?

Once the biller is added to your BPAY View™ list you can change edit the following:

  • method of notification for new bills from that biller
  • the description for the biller.

You can only edit details of billers that have been approved. If you have recently added a biller and your approval is pending you will not be able to edit the biller.

How will I know about my new bill?

You can choose between two notification methods for new bills:

  • ANZ Internet Banking: this involves a message at the top of your "View online bills" page advising you of new bills.
  • Email: you will receive an email informing you that you need to log on to ANZ Internet Banking and retrieve a new bill.

The biller you have chosen may be governed by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP). If so email notification of bills is mandatory.

Why am I not able to edit the biller description?

You can only edit details of billers that have been approved. 

  • If you have recently added a biller and your approval is pending you will not be able to edit the biller until it is approved.
Can I de-register from online bills?

Yes. You can de-register from online bills any time. Follow the steps below to de-register the biller:

  • go to the BPAY View™ biller list
  • select a biller using the radio buttons under the "Select" column
  • then click the "Deactivate biller" link.

Once you've deactivated the biller you'll no longer receive bills through your ANZ Internet Banking for that biller.

Important notes
  • It is your responsibility to check your email or log on to ANZ Internet Banking to receive notification of new bills.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is accurate and current or you may not receive notification of new bills.
  • Your access to BPAY View™ is dependent on the biller accepting your registration.
  • If, for any reason, you are unable to access ANZ Internet Banking, it is your responsibility to organise alternative billing methods with your billers.
