Edit a Pay Anyone payee

Your Pay Anyone payee list is comprised of the recipients you have saved in order to make Pay Anyone payments to them in the future.

You can edit a payee’s nickname or you can edit, add or remove the payment types associated with a payee. You can have multiple payment types linked to a single payee.

Note: Payment types include BSB and Account numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, ABN/ACNs and Organisation IDs.

What do I need to save a new payee?

If you want to save a payee's details to your Pay Anyone payee list, you will need at least one of the following;

 

You will also need to create a payee nickname to help you identify them for future transfers.

What if an existing payee has created a PayID?

If one of your payees has created a PayID you can add it to your existing payee by selecting “Add a new payment type”. You will still be able to pay to their BSB and Account number; however you should check where your payee would prefer you to address your payment.

 

You can save multiple payment types for each of your payees, or you can remove payment type/s from a payee if you no longer need them.

Can I delete a payee?

Yes. You can delete a payee if you would like to permanently remove them from your payee list.

Does a payee need to have an ANZ account?

No. A payee you add doesn’t need to have an ANZ account.

Why can’t I edit my payee?

You cannot edit a payee if there is a future or recurring payment scheduled for that person.

  • For example, if you have recurring payments scheduled for a payee, that payee cannot be edited.
  • You must first cancel any pending future or recurring payments.

 

If you wish to delete a future dated or recurring payment, the request must be lodged with ANZ Internet Banking prior to 11.59pm Melbourne time on the day prior to the payment date.
