Reset my security features

Resetting your challenge questions is easy:

  • Go to "Update Details" within ANZ Internet Banking 
  • Click "Reset my challenge questions" and follow the steps below.
Step 1 – Start the reset
  • If you are sure you’d like to reset your challenge questions click "Continue". To reset your challenge questions you will need to answer your existing challenge questions correctly.
Step 2 – Answer your challenge question(s)
  • To reset your challenge questions you will need to answer your existing challenge questions correctly.
  • Enter the answers to your challenge question(s) and click the "Continue" button to proceed.
  • If you are unable to answer your questions correctly you will not be able to proceed to reset your challenge questions. We can also help change them, just call us to verify your identity on 13 33 50 (International +61 3 9683 8833), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Step 3 – Select new challenge questions
  • Choose your first challenge question.
  • Type your personal answer in the answer field.
  • Repeat these steps for questions two and three.
  • Take a moment to remember the questions and their answers and be sure that you haven’t spelled anything incorrectly.
  • When you are comfortable that you have chosen a personal question with an answer you can easily remember click "Submit".
  • You cannot change the question or answer after clicking "Submit".
  • Clicking "Submit" will complete the setup process and take you to the confirmation page.
Important notes
  • Choose questions that are personal to you, ones that only you know the answers to and that aren’t easily guessed.
  • Your answer should be one you will easily remember in the future.
  • You cannot use the same answer for more than one question.
  • Answers are not case sensitive.
  • Be aware of spelling when typing answers - if there is a mistake it might contradict the answer you provide when the question is presented in the future.
  • Your challenge questions and answers are like a PIN or password. You should keep these secret and not disclose them to anyone. Don’t write them down or record them anywhere. If you don’t follow these instructions, you may be liable for any loss arising from an unauthorised transaction.

What if I forget my answers?

What happens if I get my answers wrong?
  • We will let you know if your answers do not match the answers you have previously set up. If you are unsure of the answers please call us to verify your identity on 13 33 50 (International +61 3 9683 8833), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you continue to enter incorrect answers you may have your access suspended as a precaution
