Add a BPAY View biller

Adding a BPAY View™ biller to your list is easy.

  • Go to the "Pay and transfer" menu.
  • Select "View online bills

If you have previously added billers a list of your current bills will display here and you can:

  • Click on the "BPAY View™ biller list" link.
  • Click on the "Add a biller" link and follow the steps below.

If you have not previously added a biller you'll need to click "Show me more" to proceed to the add a biller page.

Step 1 - Search for the biller

Choose one of three ways to search for a biller:

  1. select the biller from the "Existing biller" drop down list
  2. enter the biller code, which can be found on your bill next to the BPAY® logo
  3. type the biller name.

When you have entered the biller details click "Continue"

Step 2 - Choose the biller from the search results
  • Biller name: select the correct biller, using the drop down list of search results.
  • If the biller you want is not listed try searching again by typing the biller name in the "Search for biller name" field.

Step 3 - Choose your preferred bill notification method

You can choose to receive notifications of your new bill via ANZ Internet Banking or email.

Option 1 - Via ANZ Internet Banking
  • If you choose to be notified via ANZ Internet Banking, a message will appear at the top of your "View online bills" page advising you of new bills.
Option 2 - Via email notification

If you choose to be notified by email you will receive an email informing you that your online bill is available on ANZ Internet Banking.

  • Enter an email address, to which you'll receive the email notifications.
  • This email address will then supersede any previous email address that you may have provided to ANZ Internet Banking.
  • It's your responsibility to ensure your email address is current or you may not receive notification of new bills.

Step 4 - Enter your registration details
  • BPAY View™ registration number: enter the registration number, which is displayed on your bill.
  • Bill description: enter a concise description for the bill.
  • Depending on the biller you are adding, you may also be required to answer biller authentication questions, such as entering your surname.
  • This will help the biller verify your identity. ANZ Internet Banking will pass your answers to the biller but will not store the information.
Step 5 - Submit your request
  • When you have completed your registration details click "Continue" to submit your request.
  • You will be presented with a message advising that your request has been received and is pending approval by the biller.
  • It may take up to two bank business days for the biller to respond to your request.
  • If you do not receive a response within this time, please call the ANZ Internet Banking team on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Important notes
  • It is your responsibility to check your email or log on to ANZ Internet Banking to receive notification of new bills and to pay the bills by their due date.

Why should I add a biller to BPAY View™ biller list?

Adding a biller to your BPAY View™ biller list means that you can receive bills from that biller through your ANZ Internet Banking. 

  • You can also edit their details or delete the biller from your list at any time.
What can I do on the "BPAY View™ biller list" page?

Apart from getting some details about the biller, you can also:

  • Add biller: you can search for and add new billers to your BPAY View™ biller list.
  • Edit biller: you can edit various aspects, including notification method and filing options.
  • Deactivate biller: this allows you to cancel your view online bills service for that biller. A confirmation screen will first be displayed, explaining the process and ensuring you wish to continue.
How will I know about new bill?

You can choose to between two notification methods for new bills:

  • ANZ Internet Banking: you will receive a message at the top of your "View online bills" page advising you of new bills.
  • Email: you will receive an email informing you that you need to log on to ANZ Internet Banking and retrieve a new bill.

The biller you have chosen may be governed by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP), if so email notification of bills is mandatory.

What information do I need to add a biller to my BPAY View™ biller list?

To add a biller to BPAY View™ list you will need the correct biller code or biller name, reference number, a valid email address (if you select email as your notification method), BPAY View™ registration details for your bill and your details as requested by the biller.

Why is it asking me the authentication questions?

Some billers may ask you for answers to authentication questions to help them verify your identity. They may ask for information that they know about you.

  • ANZ Internet Banking will pass your answers to the biller but will not store the information.
Important notes
  • It is your responsibility to check your email or log on to ANZ Internet Banking to receive notification of new bills.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is accurate and current or you may not receive notification of new bills.
  • Your access to BPAY View™ is dependent on the biller accepting your registration.
  • If, for any reason, you are unable to access ANZ Internet Banking, it is your responsibility to organise alternative billing methods with your billers.
  • Any authentication questions you may be asked are requested and used only by the biller in processing your registration.
