Adding a biller to your BPAY® biller list means that you can easily pay your bills without having to fill in the biller's details each time.

  • You can also edit their details or delete the biller from your list at any stage.

Adding a BPAY® biller to your list is easy.

  • Go to the "Pay and transfer" menu.
  • Select "Pay BPAY® bills".
  • Click on the "Edit BPAY® biller list" link.
  • Click on the "Add a biller" link and follow the steps below.

Alternatively you can:

  • Go to the "Update details" menu.
  • Select "My BPAY® biller list".
  • Click on the "Add biller" link and follow the steps below.
Option 1 - Enter the biller details directly (if applicable)

If you know all of the BPAY® biller details you can fill in the "Create new biller" section.

You will need to enter:

  • BPAY® biller code: you can find this on the payment section of your bill.
  • BPAY® reference number: this is a unique customer number assigned to you by your BPAY® biller, located on the payment section of your bill.
  • Description: enter a description for the biller that you will easily identify for future use.
  • Click "Save" to add the biller to your list.

This will mean you can select the biller for future BPAY® bill payments.

Option 2 - Search for the biller name or code (if applicable)

If you do not know all the biller's details you can search for them in one of two ways:

Method 1 - Search for biller name (where BPAY® biller code is not known)

Enter the biller's name and click "Search"

  • If one match is found, the biller's name will appear next to the "Biller name" field.

  • If several matches are found, a drop down list will appear next to the "Biller name" field and you can select the relevant biller from that list.

Method 2 - Search for BPAY® biller code (where exact biller name is not known)
  • Enter the BPAY® biller code, which you can find on the payment section of your bill.
  • If the BPAY® biller code is accurate the name of the biller will appear next to the "Biller name" field.

Search for BPAY biller - one match found

After you have successfully populated the BPAY® biller name you'll need to fill in the remaining details.

  • BPAY® reference number: this reference number is a unique customer number assigned to you by your BPAY® biller.
  • It can be found in the payment section of your bill where the BPAY® biller code is displayed.
  • It's important to ensure that you enter the correct reference or your payment may be unsuccessful or paid to the incorrect account.
  • Description: enter a biller description that you will easily identify for future use.

Add BPAY biller - biller details

  • Click "Save" to add the biller to your list.

This will mean you can select the biller for future BPAY® bill payments

What details do I need to be able to add a biller to my ANZ Internet Banking?

You need the biller code, reference number and the description of the bill.

  • If you have a copy of your bill, you can check the payment section for these details.
Do I have to save the biller before I can pay them?

No. You do not need to save a biller before making bill payments to them. 

What if I don't know the BPAY® biller code?

ANZ Internet Banking allows you to search for a biller name if you do not know the biller code.

  • If you have a copy of your bill, you can check the payment slip for the biller code.
  • If you don't have the biller code, enter the name of the biller in the box titled "Biller Name" and click "Search".
  • If the correct biller name is found, the biller code will be populated automatically.
Can I edit the biller after I've added them?

Yes. Editing a biller is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to edit the biller:

  • Select "My BPAY® biller list" from the "Update Details" menu.
  • You can also access your biller list from "Pay BPAY® bills" page via the "Edit BPAY® biller list" button.

Once you have added the biller to your BPAY® biller list you may edit any of the biller details.
