Download activity logs

ANZ Internet Banking for Business Administrators can easily download activity logs of all payments, maintenance and access activities performed by different users within their ANZ Internet Banking for Business service. To download logs you'll firstly need to complete an activity log search.

  • Go to the "Manage Operators" menu.
  • Click on the "Search activity logs" link.
Step 1 - Select the user

The "Manage Operators - search user activity logs" page will display.

User: select the user you want to search activity logs for, using the drop down list.

  • The drop down list consists of all users for ANZ Internet Banking for Business including, Administrators, Authorisers and Operators.
  • If the user you are searching for has been deleted or deregistered from ANZ Internet Banking for Business, select all users.
  • This will display all the activities carried out in ANZ Internet Banking for Business including the ones done by deleted or deregistered users.
Step 2 - Select the activity type

Activity: select the type of activity you want to search for, using the drop down list.

Choose one of the following:

  • All events
  • Access
  • Payments/Transfers
  • Operator maintenance
  • Template maintenance
  • Payee list maintenance.
Step 3 - Select the date range

When entering the date range to search for you can either:

  • Choose to search returned items for the last 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 or 120 days, using the drop down list, or
  • Specify your own date range that is within the last 120 days.
Step 4 - Click "Search"

A list of activities that meet your search criteria will then display.

To print this page, click on the "Print copy" icon in the top right corner.

  • A print-friendly version of the page will display.
  • Click on "Print" at the top of the page to start the print.
  • If there is no print icon in the top right corner please use your own browser's print function (Control + P).
Step 5 - Click "Download user activity logs" and save the file

Clicking the "Download user activity logs" link will begin the download process.

  • When the file has finished downloading, excel will open and the user activity logs will appear in the spreadsheet.
  • You can then save the file to your computer or disk by choosing a file name and your preferred location.
  • The details will be saved in a CSV File format.

What can I do with the "Search activity logs"?

The "Search activity logs" tool allows you to search the logs of all activities including payments, maintenance and access activities performed by ANZ Internet Banking for Business users.

Once you have viewed the activity log for the users you can either:

  • print it for your records, or
  • download the details as a CSV file format and save it in your computer for future reference.
How do I differentiate between user types in the logs?

You can differentiate between the Administrators/Authorisers and Operators by the type of details displayed in the drop down list:

  • Operators will have their names and Operator IDs displayed.
  • Administrators and Authorisers will have their names and CRNs displayed.
How is the activity log displayed in ANZ Internet Banking for Business?

The activity log will display details of all the activities based on the search criteria that you have specified. The following details are provided:

  • Date/time: the date and time the activity took place.
  • User: the name of the user performing the activity.
  • Activity: type of activity performed namely; access to ANZ Internet Banking, payments/transfers, Operator maintenance, template maintenance or payee list maintenance.
  • Description: a short description of the type of activity performed. For example, sign on, sign off, create direct debits, edit multiple Pay Anyone, etc.
  • Lodgement ID: the lodgement number will appear where a payment or transfer has occurred. Otherwise this section will be blank.
How many user activities can I view in the "User activity logs" page?

You can view up to 30 user activities at once.

  • To view additional activities, click on the "Next" button at the bottom of the page or click the page numbers displayed on the top of the page.
Why is the lodgement ID missing from some of the activities?

The lodgement ID section will contain the lodgement number only where a payment or transfer has occurred. Otherwise this section will be blank.

How far back can I search the user activity log?

You can search the activities of each user for up to last 120 days via ANZ Internet Banking.

If you will require this information in future, you may:

  • search for the last 120 days and print it for your records or
  • download the activity logs in a CSV file format and save it in your computer.
Can I download the user activity logs in any other format?

No. The only file type available is the CSV file format.

  • This file can then be saved in your computer.
  • This file can be opened by a plain text editor like notepad or Microsoft Excel.
