Online statements are the paperless way to receive your account statements.

  • In ANZ Internet Banking and ANZ Internet Banking for Business you can view, save and download up to seven years of your online statement history*
  • And, if you have registered for ANZ Internet Banking you could automatically be receiving online statements as well as paper statements in the mail. So, do you really need both?
  • You can switch off your paper statements in ANZ Internet Banking and choose to receive statements “Online only”**. That way you could save time and hassle filing paper away. What's more, we'll be sending you an automatic email every time a new statement is available online so you will know when to log into ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business to view it.

What are online statements?

Online statements are PDF versions of account statements, accessible within ANZ Internet Banking and ANZ Internet Banking for Business. They're the environmentally-friendly and paperless way to receive account statements and available for a range of eligible accounts.

What are the benefits of receiving your statements "Online only"?
  • Secure 24 hours, seven days access*** to your statements via ANZ Internet Banking and ANZ Internet Banking for Business
  • View, save, print or download up to seven years of statement history*
  • Email notification to remind you when a new online statement is ready for review
  • Less paper to deal with
  • Online statements look exactly the same as paper statements and the law recognises electronic channels as acceptable delivery mediums.
Do I need to register for online statements?

If you are a registered user of ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business you will receive online statements in addition to paper for all eligible ANZ accounts linked to ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business.

Which ANZ accounts are eligible for online statements?

Eligible accounts for online statements include:

  • Personal everyday banking and savings accounts
  • Consumer Credit Cards
  • Home Loan and Personal loan accounts
  • ANZ Business One (Business Visa Cards)
  • Business everyday transaction and savings accounts
  • Business loan accounts.

You can view online statement for an account in Internet Banking if you are:

  • The primary cardholder (if it's a consumer credit card other than ANZ Business One)
  • The Principal, Directory or signatory (for ANZ Business One credit cards)
  • The primary owner of the account
  • The sole owner or a nominated joint owner
  • A signatory or an Authorised Enquirer or Director for an ANZ Business One credit card
  • A direct or an indirect trustee
  • A third party signatory/power of attorney of a business account (except ANZ Business Loan account) or a personal everyday banking or savings account.

For ANZ Internet Banking for Business, the user must be granted access on the account to be able to view online statements.

Why am I not eligible to view online statements?

If your authority on an account falls under certain categories you will not be eligible to view online statements. For example:

  • If you are the secondary cardholder for a consumer credit card
  • If you are the secondary cardholders for commercial credit cards (and you’re not a signatory or an Authorised Enquirer or a Director)
  • Accounts to which you are a Beneficiary
  • Accounts to which you are a Guarantor.

Can I get online statements for accounts not linked to my ANZ Internet Banking?

No. Online statements are only available to accounts linked to your ANZ Internet Banking. To link an account to ANZ Internet Banking:

  • Use the link my accounts function on ANZ Internet Banking - this will take 24-48 hours
  • Contact the ANZ Internet Banking Helpdesk on 13 33 50 (International callers: +61 3 9683 8833) 24 hours a day, seven days a week - this will be immediate
  • Visit your nearest ANZ branch - this will be immediate.
How often will online statements be provided?

Online statements will be provided to you at the same frequency that your paper statements are issued for the account.

How are online statements different than viewing transactions online?

Online transactions display the most current transactions. This transaction record is not an account statement.

Online statements are scanned copies of paper statements generated periodically (Monthly/bimonthly/quarterly/half yearly) dependent on the statement end date and other legal requirements.

Why are my online statements not appearing?

If you can see your list of online statements but are having problems opening them, check your browser settings. You'll need to have pop-up blockers disabled and JavaScript enabled for the PDF to open correctly in a new window.

How do I change my email address for online statement notifications?

You must have a current email address to receive online statement notifications if you have elected to receive your statements “Online only”. You are responsible for keeping your email address updated.

Who can change the statement notification email address?

Any authorised party on the account can change the email address for the statement notification email. At any time you can view this email address by logging on to ANZ Internet Banking and going to the “Update Details” page.

How are online statements listed on the "View statements" page?

Online statements are arranged in date order starting with your most recently issued statement at the top of the list. Whenever a new online statement is ready to view it is flagged as “new”.

How do I switch off paper statements?

If you’re using ANZ Internet Banking you can decide how you would like to receive your account statements – “Online only” or “Paper & online”.

If you’re using ANZ Internet Banking for Business the option to switch off paper statements is not available.

How to search online statements?

Online statements can be searched by following these steps:

  1. From the “View statements” page, select your account from the drop-down list
  2. Click “Search”
  3. Click “Go”

Note: To further refine your search, click on “Search for statements” and provide a data range in the “Statement issue date range” section.  

Are historical statements available online in internet banking?

Historical statements may be available for eligible accounts if you’re registered for ANZ Internet Banking and ANZ Internet Banking for Business as described below:

  • If you opened your eligible account before 9 December 2013 and you have previously registered to receive online statements for that account, you will be able to view statements from the beginning of the statement period in which you registered
  • If you opened your eligible account before 9 December 2013 and if you had not previously registered to receive online statements for that account, you may be able to view your statements from the first statement period commencing after 1 July 2013
  • If you opened your eligible account on 9 December 2013 or thereafter, you will be able to view historical statements for that account from the statement period commencing on the day the account was opened.  

Historical online statements will continue to build for up to 7 years*.

What does the error message ‘there are no online statements available for this account’ mean?

This message can appear for newly opened accounts if there are no statements available to view yet.

This message will also appear where your account type is not eligible to receive online statements. Determine if your account is eligible for online statements:

What does the error message ‘this function is currently unavailable’ mean?
From time to time we may experience technical difficulties and you may not be able to perform certain functions within ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business. We suggest you log off, wait a moment and then log on to ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business again to access your online statements.
