Ravichandran Venkataraman - Managing Director, ANZ India
Prior to his current role, Ravi was Head of Personal Division Operations, ANZ India.
Ravi joined ANZ in 2006 as the Head of Institutional Operations, Bangalore. In this role he was responsible for the set up, transition and management of Institutional Operations in Bangalore.
Ravi began his career with Wipro as an Accounts Assistant. He has also worked with organisations such as KPMG (Bahrain & London), Audit Commission (London), Digital Equipment Corporation (Bangalore) and ANZ Grindlays Bank (Bangalore) in a variety of roles. Ravi was also previously the Managing Director of a boutique investment banking firm in Bangalore. He was also the Head of Corporate & Merchant Banking for Bank Muscat in Bangalore.
Outside of ANZ, his most recent role was that of Director, Operations and Head of the F&A Centre of Hewlett Packard at Bangalore.
His educational qualifications include B.Com, FCCA (UK) and ACMA (UK). He is an active member of the Shared Services Online Network (SSON), London/Singapore.
On a personal note, Ravi’s hobbies include playing the guitar and reading fiction.
Subhas DeGamia – Chief Executive Officer, ANZ Capital Private Limited
Subhas DeGamia is the Chief Executive Officer of ANZ Capital Private Limited, based in Mumbai. In this role he is responsible for managing all of ANZ’s interests in India, including ANZ Capital Private Limited, the ANZ network, partnerships and joint ventures for both retail and institutional businesses. He is directly responsible for activities that generate revenue directly from institutional and retail customers in India.
Subhas has worked with ANZ since 1989, including with the former ANZ Grindlays business in India. Subhas has 20 years of international financial markets and investment banking experience in Australia, New Zealand, India and pan-Asia. He has a strong record of building and expanding large customer oriented businesses and a strong local knowledge of India.
He has an Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School (Mt Eliza campus), Australia and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Subhas has assisted international customers in the management of treasury financial risk, and developing structured hedging strategies for cross border exposures as well as in prudent asset and liability management.
His previous employment with Price Waterhouse Coopers also enabled him to undertake business advisory projects in New Zealand and the Pacific.
On a personal note, Subhas enjoys spending time with his family, playing snooker, cricket and following his favourite football team – Manchester United.
