At ANZ, we are committed to giving back to the community we work and live in. Partnerships with community organisations are in place, and we look to increasingly impact more lives in a meaningful manner by expanding this network.

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) in Mumbai

Staff programmes

Our employees are given the opportunity and complete support to volunteer with our community partners and other community organisations, to support their cause – by way of spear-heading specific initiatives and programs, mobilising funds and donations, part-taking in awareness campaigns etc.
Some of our community partners are:

Masoom is a not-for-profit organisation with a passion for establishing quality education in night schools. In order to achieve this, Masoom partners with night schools to facilitate the “Night School Transformation Programme”. The Transformation Programme is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the night school and the individual students who otherwise need to work during the day to earn a living.

Swayam Shikshan Prayog

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) is a learning and development organisation that improves the lives of some of the world's poorest people. Committed to long-term sustainable development, SSP aims to enable social change and economic empowerment to develop and strengthen the competencies of grassroots women’s groups and communities.

ANZ Operations and Technology and ANZ Support Services India, Bangalore

ANZ Bangalore is committed to earning the trust of the community we live and work in. We have an agenda that aims to make a significant positive impact on our community and fulfil our social responsibilities.

Community Giving program

We provide our employees with opportunities to support the causes that are important to them through our Community Giving program.

Staff can make donations to one or more of our community partners through the Payroll Giving program. ANZ Bangalore matches these donations by INR 2,500 per person and INR 10,000 per team every year. The community partners are chosen by ANZ Bangalore staff through an annual survey.

ANZ Bangalore and Parikrma partnership

We have partnered with Parikrma Humanity Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to empower children from urban slums by providing them with complete education and a development program.

Reinforcing our long term commitment to global competitiveness, ANZ India has sponsored the Deep Impact Research on Parikrma, conducted by the Nielsen Company. The research validates the effectiveness of the Parikrma model and enables it to be further developed in a sustained manner.

ANZ Bangalore offers all staff one day’s paid leave per year for volunteer work. In the past years employees have contributed to our community partners, a wide range of projects and other not-for-profit organizations by utilizing their volunteering leave.

Other staff programs

ANZ Bangalore has employee driven environment and community programs, where the teams support various causes such as a clothes drive for an orphanage, fund raising for a natural disaster etc.

Our people development program includes secondments with our community partners.

ANZ Bangalore is committed to minimising our environment impact. We have started evaluating our environmental sustainability and are working towards programs such as waste management, working with suppliers to ensure they maintain social and environmental standards etc.
