Rural Banking Launch
Our commitment to the communities we live and work in
ANZ has partnered with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to deliver Fiji’s first mobile banking service.
The new service will allow more than 300,000 people to carry out everyday banking services in the convenience of their own village, settlement or rural town.
We are committed to ensuring everyone is offered the same opportunities to bank. ANZ is the only bank in the Pacific offering a comprehensive service in rural and remote Fiji.
ANZ will be offering two specialised savings accounts - a Rural Banking Everyday account and a Rural Banking Savings account, plus ANZs full range of products.
The UNDP team will be teaching basic banking, financial literacy and enterprise development skills.
ANZ will use a fleet of custom built four-wheel-drive trucks to provide mobile banking to most villages in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. ANZ will also run fly in fly out services to Kadavu, Koro and the Yasawa Islands.
Our mobile banking service will become available over the coming months.
