    Drawee

    The person or company to whom a bill of exchange or cheque is addressed. On a cheque, the drawee is the bank on which the cheque is drawn. In the case of a bill of exchange it is the person who agrees to provide the specified sum of money, and who in signing the bill becomes the acceptor.
