For Personal Accounts the following minimum identification criteria
must be met:

Together with at least one of the following:
- a photo driver's licence or
- 2 major credit cards (ie. BankCard, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB)
or
- a written letter of introduction addressed to ANZ from an existing ANZ
customer of good standing who has banked with the ANZ for at least 3 years,
and who has known the applicant for at least 1 year or
- a written letter of introduction from an ANZ point offshore or
- 2 current utility accounts from the customer's place of residence in their own name

For Business Accounts the following minimum identification
criteria must be met:
- Certificate of Incorporation and
- Memorandum and Articles of Association, or an equivalent document such
as a partnership agreement and
- Minutes of directors meeting authorising the opening of the account
with ANZ and
- Opinion from existing bankers (if any) and
- All account signatories and beneficial owners must satisfy the Personal Account identification criteria detailed above

Originals of all documents must be sighted.
|
Please Note:
If the account is not being opened in person (ie. by mail)
copies are acceptable provided they have been certified as being true copies
by either an ANZ point offshore (bearing an ANZ stamp), or by a Justice of the
Peace or Commissioner of Oaths.
