The Seeds of Renewal program is the result of a partnership between ANZ's Regional and Rural Banking team and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR). The program provides small grants to approved projects designed to increase the resilience and long-term sustainability of small rural communities.
ANZ has supported Seeds of Renewal since 2002, contributing more than $2 million to date. More than 450 projects have received Seeds of Renewal grants, including 97 projects across Australia in 2008.
Applications are now open for 2009 Seeds of Renewal Grants. This year's theme is Strengthening Community Enterprise.
In 2009, projects that will be considered for funding by the FRRR must have a charitable purpose and contribute to the development of communities through the following;
Groups applying for a grant must be from a community with a population of 15,000 people or less and must be a not-for-profit organisation with an ABN.
