Verified by Visa is a global authentication service. It provides you, the cardholder, with a unique password and ensures that only you, the true cardholder, may complete an Internet transaction. Verified by Visa improves card security online.

The Verified by Visa password protects your online transactions in the same way you use a signature at a face-to-face merchant or a PIN when using an ATM.
Once you have registered, there are three simple steps to using Verified by Visa. These are: 1. Select the goods or services you want from an online store that participates in Verified by Visa and proceed to the payment page 2. Enter your Visa card number and the online store will check with the financial institution that issued your Visa card to check if it is enrolled with Verified by Visa 3. Enter your password to confirm your identity and payment is all done in a flash. It is this simple.
