A week in the life of a Branch Manager

Name: Thuy Thanh Vu
Job Title: Branch Manager
Location: Vietnam

Monday

I started the week by catching up with the Branch team. It takes a while when you've got 50 staff. Also began interviewing for two new roles. Finished the day by checking the news. You have to keep abreast of what's going on in such a fast-moving industry.

Tuesday

Had quite a few meetings with customers today. Most are with people looking for financial advice - I provide the solutions they need, which always gives me a buzz. Others are simply an opportunity to catch up and get some feedback on our service.

Wednesday

Business development today. Out and about meeting existing business customers and potential customers. I really enjoy whipping up new business. A busy day, but a good one.

Thursday

Organised some more customer feedback sessions. They really are vital. Helps me see what we're doing well and what we could do better. Essential to maintaining our edge and planning for the future. Later, I had some paperwork to catch up on.

Friday

The end of another week. The time flies by. No two days are the same. Took the opportunity to reflect on everything that's happened and plan ahead, not only for next week, but long term. You've got to think strategically as a branch manager.
