ANZ CreditCover Plus gives you affordable peace of mind knowing that your minimum monthly repayments will met if you are unable to work due to illness or injury, or if you become involuntary unemployed. In the event of your suffering a critical illness, your total and permanent disablement or death, your outstanding credit card balance will be paid in full (up to $50,000). ANZ CreditCover Plus is not available for Visa Debit cardholders.

What are the benefits?

Type of event Nature of benefit
Involuntary unemployment Triple your minimum monthly repayment (6%) of the outstanding balance is paid, up to $50,000, if you are involuntarily unemployed.
Disability (through injury or illness) Triple your minimum monthly repayment (6%) of the outstanding balance is paid, up to $50,000, in the event of your disability through illness or injury.
Total and permanent disability The outstanding balance up to $50,000 is paid, in the event of your total and permanent disability.
Critical illness The outstanding balance up to $50,000 is paid, in the event of your diagnosis of a defined critical illness.
Death The outstanding balance up to $50,000 is paid, in the event of your death.
Accidental death The outstanding balance up to $50,000 is paid, plus an additional and equal amount to your estate, in the event of your accidental death (maximum benefit of $100,000).
Family trauma A lump sum benefit of $500 is paid if you are required to take leave from paid employment as a result of your spouse or dependent child being diagnosed with a critical illness.
Stolen card A lump sum cash benefit of $200 is paid if your card is reported as stolen and you report the incident to the police.

How much does it cost?

  • The monthly premium is just 79c per $100 of the closing balance on your credit card statement each month (up to a maximum of $50,000).
  • Your premium will be automatically charged to your nominated ANZ credit card account and will appear on your monthly statement. The premium will still be payable if you pay your credit card account in full at each statement due date, unless the Closing Balance on your credit card statement is less than $10 or in credit.

Apply for an ANZ credit card online and receive a response in 60 seconds. Select 'Yes' when asked if you wish to apply for ANZ CreditCover Plus.

Alternatively, phone 13 33 33 and select 'credit cards' option.
