The Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation invites applications annually for a five-year Senior Medical Research Fellowship valued at $195,000 per annum.
Outstanding researchers who are medically qualified or graduates of another scientific discipline, with recognised postdoctoral achievements seeking to establish a research career in Australia and undertake research in an Australian academic institution, are eligible to apply whether they are currently working in Australia or not. Only Australian nationals or permanent residents are eligible for the awards.
Eligible applicants will be medical graduates or graduates of other clinical disciplines who have completed both their clinical and research training which will normally be at doctoral level and are commencing their first definitive clinical position, or have been in such a post for no more than 24 months on 1 May 2008.

The JO & JR Wicking Trust was established in 2003. The Trust provides funding to provide benefits for the blind or visually impaired, the aged or for persons suffering from Alzheimer's disease and includes funding research into problems associated with the above. There are 4 categories of Grants.

The William Buckland Foundation was established following the death of
William Buckland in 1964. The Will specifies that income from the Foundation shall be
distributed in Victoria as follows:
One half of the income to assist:
- public hospitals
- public benevolent societies
- public benevolent institutions, with special emphasis on children.
One half of the income to assist:
- public scientific purposes
- public education purposes with some preference for agricultural and related pursuits.

The ANZ Staff Foundation was established in 1988 as a perpetual
charitable trust to build a permanent source of funds to meet the real and emerging
needs of charities in Australia.
The Foundation is funded by regular contributions made by Australia
and New Zealand Banking Group Limited and ANZ staff. Staff at all levels are also
actively encouraged to support the work of the Foundation by giving their time and
support to some of the projects which the Foundation funds.
The ANZ Staff Foundation has an annual national funding program for a
range of charitable projects that offer a direct and tangible benefit to the Australian
Community.
The Foundation can only fund charitable organisations, gifts to which
are deductible under Section 30-15 [formerly 78(4)] of the Income Tax Act.

The Bequest provides funds for charitable purposes in Victoria, with a
primary focus on the physical and emotional health of women and children, particularly
those in rural areas and urban areas of disadvantage. The Bequest welcomes innovative,
catalytic projects or programs.

Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment (ACTA) invites applications by Universities in the for post-graduate student research support in the fields of ecology, wildlife management and natural history studies.
Grants of will be awarded for the purchase of equipment, supplies, travel to study areas and conferences.
Closing dates: 1 May and 1 October each year.
This Foundation provides funding for the following:
Operational Gift - this category of gift provides financial assistance towards the
general activities and needs of an organisation supporting the Polish community.
Project Gift - gifts may be made to organisations that
wish to undertake special projects designed to meet the cultural and linguistic maintenance
needs of the Polish community in Australia or the promotion and encouragement of education of
Polish culture and language more broadly in Australia.
The Blum Foundation invites applications once a year.

The Judith Jane Mason and Harold Stannett Williams Memorial Foundation was established in late 2003.
The goal of The Mason Foundation is to achieve principally into the causes, prevention and/or management of these diseases.
