Seeds of Renewal

ANZ's Rural and Regional Banking team has worked with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) in the Seeds of Renewal program. The program provides small grants to increase the sustainability of rural communities with less than 15,000 people.

This year, Seeds of Renewal has supported projects that help small rural communities affected by drought.

ANZ has been supporting Seeds of Renewal for five years, contributing more than $1.4 million - $451,800 this year alone. More than 280 projects have received Seeds of Renewal grants including 83 projects in drought affected areas across Australia this year.

Our partners, the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), selected the successful applicants using the Seeds 2007 criteria outlined below.

Amongst the 2007 grants was a $10,000 grant to North East Farming Futures Group to assist with running a series of regional conferences/field days on farm forestry and carbon credits. View the list of grant recipients (PDF, 61kb).

Eligibility for funding in 2008

Each year Seeds of Renewal adopts a new theme in order to spread grants across different community groups.

In 2008, Seeds of Renewal aims to support projects that help small rural communities affected by drought.
