Our work starts at home with the aim to build the most financially fit workforce in Australia. ANZs staff programs are purely educative and do not include promotion of any ANZ product or service.

Each year, we deliver 'financial fitness' sessions to help our people to better understand and manage their own personal finances. These 90-minute face-to-face sessions cover the essentials of financial literacy including budgeting and saving, superannuation and retirement planning and investment basics. ANZ financial planners volunteer their time to run the educational sessions, which are open to all staff.
More than 700 staff attended the financial fitness sessions in 2007 across Australia.

Since 2003, ANZ has conducted an online education program to improve the financial literacy of our staff. It provides regular, in-depth features on topics such as mastering tax, tips for healthy credit cards, investment basics and understanding superannuation and Super Choice.

ANZ provides all new service consultants with training to help them identify and assist customers who may have poor financial literacy. More than 200 call centre and collections staff have also been trained to identify and support people having difficulty with their credit cards.
