Completing a 'Roll Forward'

What does a 'Roll Forward' do?

The ‘Roll Forward’ feature enables you to prepare next period's budget in an instant.

When might I need to perform a ‘Roll Forward’?

Use a 'Roll Forward' to:

  • Input items and Business Drivers for the following year/period.

  • View the outcomes of various business strategies planned for the next financial year.

  • Examine the impact of next year’s Business Driver inputs on crucial Business Results, such as the Funding Surplus (Requirement).

How do I perform a ‘Roll Forward’?

To perform a 'Roll Forward':

  • While in the Strategy Screen, select the ‘Roll Forward’ icon rollforward located at the top of the screen.

  • The ‘Roll Forward’ Screen appears displaying the Business Drivers for the previous period.

    Click on the icon above to view the screen

  • Next, alter these Business Drivers as required in order to reflect next year's budget.

  • When your changes are complete, select the ‘finished’ button on the right hand side of the screen.

  • ANZ Impact™ will generate next year's forecasted budget and present it to you in the Strategy Screen.

Viewing the impact of the ‘Roll Forward’?

The key results can now be viewed in order to determine their acceptability or otherwise.

Now that you can view next year’s projection, you can:

  • Select the Net Change icon netchange to highlight the changes between the current year’s financial figures and next year’s forecasted budget
  • Select the Reports icon rollforward and print out the forecasted figures using the Print icon print
