How can a 'Goalseek' be performed?

'Goalseeks' are generally performed in the Right Hand Panel of the Strategy Screen. You are not able to perform a 'Goalseek' on an item from either of the other two panels on the Strategy Screen.

In the screen shot below, we have indicated where you can perform a ‘Goalseek’ by highlighting the "'Goalseek' sensitive cells" in green.

To perform a 'Goalseek':

1. Decide on the Business Result goal that you wish to achieve.
   
   
2. Type the figure representing the desired goal into the correct Business Result cell in the Right Hand Panel.
   
   
3. Select the 'Enter' key.
   
   
4. The ANZ Impact™ 'Goalseek' Screen will be presented, indicating the options available to you in order to reach your goal. An example of this screen is displayed below.

Please Note: Occasionally if a User types in an illogical 'Goalseek', ANZ Impact™ will present an "Unsolvable" message. This message will only be generated in extreme cases where the normal relationships between Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet do not exist, or an unrealistic variation is entered. This message may indicate an incorrect entry of data into the ANZ Impact™ categories. It is advised that you should check the data if this message occurs.
